Btw write this down. When you get the rover, sit on the seat and look around for light and crane controls, you fill your O2 and I think your water as well. You can also sleep in it, ride out sandstorms and repair it with the blowtorch from inside. But some of these options are hard to see.

Tablets show up as a question mark on your map. Exactly where the mark is. Sometimes outside on the ground.

For ones I've visited, I use the name option on the poi. I was using II for things that still had tier 2 grinder stuff to grind, and III for things I needed tier 3 grinder on. Now that I am using the grinder 3, I am marking those ones by naming them with an X, since they don't disappear from the map when fully salvaged.

Hey mate there is an option in the settings "highlight interactive objects" -> switch to "always" and set to max range. This should show more things like tablets and boards :). Also sometimes the tablets spawn under the bases and you cant get to them until you have grinder 3.

You have mastered the idea of a red icon for the “next base” on your journey, now you should master the white icon after visiting each and every one - you can multiple white icons, but only one red, yellow and green. Place a white icon marked “looted” or “scrapped” or something, to save you going back to same base. Even once you have totally destroyed these bases, they don’t disappear from the map, so marking them in some way is very helpful.

Kage, grind down ALL of the items you can. EVERY box, every chair, every desk, literally everything it lets you grind. That's how you get material research (aka Purple). Plus it will give you materials like motors, screws, aluminum, steel etc...

If you can I suggest breaking down all the little solar panel and making as many medium solar panels you can. Because 1 medium solar panel = 6 small solar panels. Power is probably the biggest thing you have to be on top of. Just a suggestion.

Good stuff. The small water droplet icons dotted about the map are showing you where there is water and so where you can build a well. May be a good idea to have a few outposts dotted around with a well and a solar panel or two - one panel to charge rover, one panel to charge the well extension (if you have it) which provides oxygen. You’d have power, water and oxygen in strategic points over the map.

To find tablets easier, go to menu, interface, and there is a slider to increase your Z scan range....also an option there to have that on all the time.

You can cheese the game to help get the blueprint you want, not a 100% but if you save the game in a side save right after you get the tablet but before you open it, you can then see what BP you get and if its something that can wait go back to the side save (go to the main menu 1st, I gotten burned going straight to load) and reload and it will re-roll the BP. You can repeat until you get a useful tech.. I did this to get the rover sooner that otherwise would have happened :) oops I commented before you figured this out lol. Also though, in ATV travel mode you can sleep remotely by Building a survival capsule. That will allow you to travel further away from base...

Look for bases with question marks. Those have the tablets. I have 15 extra and can't use them because they haven't finished development on the rest of the tech tree items. Keep being awesome :)

Hey kids there's a function with the waypoints. Instead of removing them what you need to do is just select the next point you want to and it will leave a whitewash imagewear the waypointe was allowing you to know that you've been to that location.

So far the only building i found have a place to charge the suit is the bar (or canteen, not sure how is the name in english) also the rover has a way to charge the suit. So far nothing else besides the workshop, hangar, the bar, toilet capsule and agriculture buildings are worth to build. Others has no “unique” or cool features beside aesthetics or at least I haven’t figured out yet.

On waypoint, when I loot the POI I name it "Empty", always use Tracking white. You can see it on the map the use Tracking red or yellow to go back.

If you build the rover, you cannot mine with it yet. First you have to research (and possibly build) the drill arm. Also, it's very slow (especially compared to your new ATV). It does come with a bed though, and some storage space. But the living capsule is better (doesn't cost much to make, and can also fill O2 when powered). Build one of those, as well as a well and a solar panel when you want to loot a base. Have your vehicle load battery whilst you search the base. Big advantage of the rover: Use it to transport rock pieces to your base and crush them (after having built a crusher). It'll give you so much more raw resources, including Calcium & Silicon!

You can charge the suit once you build the canteen. There is an outlet in there. For cement, once you get the tier 3 grinder you can start taking apart base structures and you will get tons. Also make sure to tear down every solar panel you see at bases. The electronics and solar cells become priceless later in the game. You can also make suit batteries, it is just later in the tech tree.

Filling your bottles with a water well : inventory bottle(s) via control panel, suit bottle via the water tank's tap 😉 Have fun and gl everyone 🖖 Edit : You can find calcium in the valley system south-west of your base (it's the closest location from your base, i think). You'll need to remove (some of) your Circuit Boards from your synthesizer (not really their place, anyway... my mother used to put away her glasses in the fridge from time to time, she couldn't find them afterwards 😅🤣)

Sometimes tablets don't spawn. A save and reload usually fixes it.

They always spawn. But sometimes (a lot of times!) they spawn under the map (you can see them if you set the detection range to max). If you reload within 200m, they respawn above the map.

the little icon where ur first red marker was, should be water marker. there the ground is usually red or such red-brown ground

The mark (grey pointer) means water. They are all over the world map so if your far from your base you can set up a well and refill water easy. Tablets are randomized. Also there is a indoor charging socket in the "Canteen" once you unlock the blueprint and build it. Also, when you look on the map for other wrecked bases watch for a ? mark next to them, that means there is a tablet there. If a base doesn't have the ? mark, no tablet. The Mission Control base you trained at (that blew up) has a TON of resources including medium circuit boards so get Tier 3 grinder unlocked.

Sometimes the loot especially the tablets will fall into the planet. Your best bet is to save and reload the game when that happens. The arrow marker on the map is a location for water. I was trying to figure that out also.

You'll be able to charge inside a canteen, if you ever build one. Other then that it's an empty building. But you can place a couple of fridges/storages there.

You can sleep in the rover. Just carry enough stuff to make a solar panel maybe. It just doesn't have a printer as opposed to the pod.

It's probably not so much that the tablets are time based, but the random number seed changes as you play the game. So if you pick it up and a particular time, the seed will be the same. If you delay, the seed will be different because the game is calling for random numbers as you play. (If you know what I mean)

you don't need to build another rover if you already have one it's only there as a buildable thing if your rover somehow gets destroyed. Hopefully in the future you can have multipul rovers and when you build a new rover the cabnets should come stocked with extra oxygen cylinders and water bottles because it's bs that they don't also the well extensions do literally nothing don't even bother with them because the co2 scrubbers are far superrior.

To find the tablet just open the map. If you see a grey question mark, that's a tablet. Sometimes they are just inside the buildings so use the zoom as they are hard to see with the grey background of the buildings in the map. If you don't see any grey question mark then there is no tablet there. And about that question having more than one tablet in an abandoned building nope, never seen more than one per building.

I’ve had two tablets show up at a poi a total of once across two games, and I think it was a glitch because one was under a wall and I had to wait till I got grinder II to get it

@@nathanblakesley4059 Interesting. I've noticed that sometimes game can get really glitchy with some things. Maybe it has something to do with the randomly generated nature of the map. But being an EA I understand that bugs are expected regularly. On my last game there was an area with about 8-9 pois in a relative short radius. I got about 2-3 tablets but I had to go back to base. Came back later when I got the rover and only the pois I had visited remained there. Now, where the not visited pois were there were only tablets, just lying on the ground, even on pois where there was not tablet when I looked in the map when I came the first time. I got 4 really fast.

@@isarelluenfer7776 I played more just a bit ago and I’m running into more and more tablets under buildings and circuit boards loading in 20-30 feet below ground. Reloading usually will fix the circuit boards but the tablets remain in the same place, I’m guessing it’s a clipping issue with the furniture it’s supposed to be on. Many of them I’m seeing the furniture model has messed up graphics and it doesn’t change when it reloads

@@isarelluenfer7776 Yeah, Every time I load in I find myself wondering if POIs are going to be there. I've done the reload roulette thing with the tablets a few times to see if I can get something I need more and probably a solid 2/3 of the time it'll reload with just the tablet and circuit boards there. I will reload until I get something I'd like to have AND the POI is there before saving again. But I also think I've screwed myself over with the reloading because I just came back to base to drop off an ATV and backpack full of parts and circuit boards and pick up my rover(found a similar treasure trove of POIs), and not only has my rover vanished(the o2 hose and power cord are there where it was parked, but now I can't even just rebuild one because even though it's unlocked in my tech tree, it doesn't show up in my garage blueprints, but it is there when I click the thing to show locked blueprints. So I'm gonna try to clean it up, reinstall, etc and hope that save file isn't borked because I could REALLY do without starting over....again.

@2:17 same with the campaign intro the power plug is in the canteen @3:55 quick save F5 and quick reload F6 @4:40 daily after a night's rest and refueling the suit, i look around to pick up random rocks that spawns if any nearby which adds up over time and by sol 10 i had 40-50 calcium and other ores @5:08 capsule is similar to the starting pod but requires external power to operate @5:54 locations you've finished looting you can name, for me i just put "X" @6:06 those markers on the map are water source @7:41 i've noticed bases have 4 different loot table, i managed to test it out saving the game about 150m away and exploring after each reload and items were all different with one not having a tablet and one reload where the base didnt even exist @19:15 blueprint is random even if you already have multiple tablets in your base before you save @21:44 mentioned it in previous episode when you talked about power, you can see the power usage at the bottom when selecting the blueprint

Yeah, currently you can't make o2 and h2 bottles. I suspect that's because if you could, it would make exploration kinda trivial. My thinking is that as the development progresses they'll sort out the balancing.

On the water well if u go to the slot where you attach the pump it will refill the water u got equiped so u dnt need to switch to refill them

There is a place in the settings that allows everything you can pick up to be highlighted all the time. Instead of hitting Z everywhere you go. I just can't remember what it's under.

I have all the tech and 10 tablets in storage but not enough mechanics pointa to get all the unlocked tech. It feels a bit unbalanced. Mechanics is way to tedious to get and electrical points WAY too easy with Materials being sort of ok, and somehow a chemical point showed up, so I have that already. I am SUPER excited for the next bog update. But I fear we might need to restart and do a new run, especially if the story line is finished for thw campaign. So glad I bought this game. Absolutely great.

@VarietyNoobs The quickest way to level that up is by drilling ores and Scanning rocks. You'd think that grinding would help too ...but grinding only help electricity.

Get the canteen then you can recharge the suit inside. Make a marker and put a name like done or what ever.

@Kage848 I cheesed my tech by reloading saves... but now, the game is telling me that I already unlocked all the Blueprints when the tech tree is still showing that some of them are yet undiscovered. I have a short stack of Tablets that I can't use. And tech I can't unlock.
