Do you have to replace the whole screen versus just replacing the outter glass part? My iwatch still works fine, but just the glass is cracked. Is that possible?

The edge of one of the two clips on the Taptic Engine cable is slightly damaged in the top left corner. Do you think the whole cable needs to be replaced for it to succeed?

I have a 38mm Series 1 that the battery got swollen, and popped off the Screen. I replaced the battery and by the time I opened and closed so many times, the two cables broke, making the screen useless. So I bought another locally. When I plugged the two cables in, I remember the touch screen working and then I powered down, to put the cover on the two cables that plug in. From then on, the watch will turn on, and show face, and by hitting the crown it will give the number pad for password, but nothing works on the touch. Cant enter the password, or slide screen up down, or sideways. No touch at all. Thought it was a bad screen, so got another, replaced by location I purchased and have the same issue. Charges and then starts up, but no TOUCH control. Even went thru that snake battery thing where it won't charge, and start, and would get hot, etc... so discharged for 2 days, and then charged now dealing with the no response to touch for password, and screen at all., Any idea? Cant try old Screen as cables were brittle and broke

I replaced my Apple Watch series 3 gps cracked screen with another screen from another watch same type but the touch isn’t working the only touch that works is when you touch the screen to wake it up . I reset it same no changes . Is the screen only programmed to that watch only ?

I bought a new battery and replaced in my series 1 watch and cracked the original screen taking it off to change battery so I ordered new screen and actually broke it trying to get it to work. I have done everything from putting new screen on with new battery to using original battery and screen to try and get it to turn on but it will not come on. any thoughts?

I have two things to point out, this voids your warranty and the watch is not waterproof anymore, because of wrong adhesive. Also, many times the replacement screens don’t have 3D Touch, unless they are original

By mistake, some people may take out the force touch sensor, which looks exactly like a double sided tape. I broke mine.. 🙈

DON’T EVER buy the IFIXIT screen replacement. They are trash and lack greatly in quality(colors are not sharp, unresponsive) I suggest buying an original apple screen from an old Apple Watch on ebay(runs about 40 dollars). This way you’ll have your equipment back to original quality. I’ve used ifixit 5 times and I always regret my purchase.

Terrible video not explaining correctly everything you do plus nobody can see if you don’t zoom enough to be able to see the moves you do, also we don’t open from the side you open the watch screen plus there is a tool that is warming up the screen on 165 degrees, I can go on and on with mistakes you are doing, so let’s leave it at this
