Dear RU-vid, if the user slows down the video to 25%, skipping back should set the progress bar to 1.25 seconds before, NOT 5 seconds (which means 20 seconds!!). You know, RELATIVITY THEORY?? I wanted to get clearer view on the screw postions for the fan, but thanks RU-vid i now know how to tor pull the wifi cable because i watched it like 3 times.
I fixed a 58 inch Hisense TV that way. One of the SMD ceramic caps was shorted on the LCD controller board. I used to fix CRT TV back in the days but what goes wrong with those were different from today’s surface mount board. I would have never imagined a ceramic capacitor can short because those did not go bad in the old circuit boards. It was usually a shorted fly back transistor or fly back transformer. Sometimes I just put low voltage directly into the suspected capacitor
With this i'm going to try to swap lcd from one assembly to another. I have one with bad backlight and one with smashed lcd. I'm wondering if i can save the lcd? Seems almost impossible. Lets see. I don't have playing cards but i have some stiff clear plastic from some packaging. Can using isopropyl help disolve the adheisive or will using alcahol risk the lcd?
Great Video - thanks for posting👍 Can anyone tell me where I can obtain the 'bare' LCD panel - I'm in the UK, and most repair guides for the mid-2014 Retina MB Pro just cover replacing the whole 'lid' assembly. These are way too expensive for a 10 year old machine, so wondering where I can get just the panel. Thanks in advance
I have 2 lcds that are identical but one has a scratch the other has blemishes would it be possible to take the difuser sheets out of the one with only a scratch on the top layer and then take the good top layer from the one with blemishes and merge them into one? since the blemishes are only coming from the bad difuser sheets? have you ever done this to an imac?
Hi, I have a 2017 iMac Pro with no LED power lights PS is good. Removed ram, hd's, battery still no LED lights or power on. Where do yo u get the schematics for these? Where would you suggest looking for the failure? thanks
after change capacitor, boot up but keyboard not working,,, shutdown,, after shutdown check everything again,, and after that no more power on, i am using 330f 6volt, is this correct ?
Just finished the swap out. Plugged it in and attached to MacBookPro. The light on the end lit-up green but flashes -- it flashes briefly at 2-sec interval. The Charge lightning bolt on the screen goes on and off in time with the green light as it goes on and off. Thoughts?
Nice video. No solder tools here. So I tried to splice and twist cables, and connected the light grey to light grey and the outer loose cable that was wrapped around grey to the black one on the connector end. Twisted them nicely. Plugged and and the thing sparked/loud pop.
I suggest to remove the wifi/bluetooth cable from the wifi/blootooth card. They are tiny and can easily tear apart. It happend to me when i replaced my keyboard, and i am fcked because now i haev to remove all my screen to replace it :(
Try connecting the macbook to an external monitor. If you can see an image on the monitor most likely is the screen if not, it could be a lot of different things and you would need to take it to a technician.
Apple should be sued for designing this rubbish. We've got through about 5 of these POS between 2 of us. Crap design and crap materials that break down.
