I was taught to never agree with the homeowner, but rather say “I hear what you’re saying” when you agree it makes them comfortable with staying the same. You need to make them uncomfortable with staying the same (fear). In an honest and informative way of course.

We are not necessarily agreeing with the homeowner we are empathizing that we understand how they feel. We are using the 3 F's. Feel, Felt, Found method.

Good video man. 1 suggestion... The "Solar Panels are ugly" objection... A response like this is much better.. "Yeah, I agree. A lot of homeowners don't like the aesthetic of Solar Panels. After the site assessment you'll get a design to approve and you can request the panels to go on the backside of your roof."

Why would you move them to the back if part of the design is where they are placed? This has to do with proper sun angle. If the back of the house is north facing, then your production output will go down or yo'll need to compensate by adding more panels which will drive the price up.

@@kbob8424 I agree. That is why I am clear that I will give them what they want which is to move the panels in less efficient mounting planes but it will reduce the efficiency. And, from there they can decide whether or not it is worth it to move the panels to less efficient areas. At the end of the day, I give them that choice and they can decide from there. This also gets the homeowner involved in the design phase which they love as well.

The design approval is after the agreement is signed and when a site assessor already came to check the homeowner's roof. Majority of the time the homeowner doesn't even remember their complaint with the design after all of that. The few times they do mention the design we were okay'd to just slap the panels on the backside of the roof and not increase the price as my old Solar employer pursued a low price strategy.

@@JamestheSolarEnergyExpert I already have. I'm supposed to speak with you this coming Friday at 8am. I'm currently a Closer for Momentum Solar in Las Vegas, NV I'm new so it's 7 days a week 8a-10p on call...so if I miss your call...they got me running appointments. They provide leads but I'm expected to provide 30% of my leads to stay employed. Plus their pay structure is very bad...$500 a week with performance bonuses. If you don't sell a minimum of 3 a week you hit the bricks so besides low pay it's high pressure. They recently got rid of the whole Las Vegas canvassing department because...who knows... someone probably came in woke up on the wrong side of the bed🤷 Right to work State...no employee rights...

I tell people that are younger - when you retire - will you have more money or less? The answer is less - so with your sys being paid for -and now you have free power. You can now laugh at all who never changed because now there 100$ is now 300+

PPA is specifically designed to be fully transferable to the next homeowner. I’ve personally signed up 2 real estate agents on this program, a SoCal Edison employee, and my neighbor and WATCHED him move. Who’s going to turn down a house with a dirt cheap electricity bill
