Excellent training video. It's not hard or troublesome guys. You have to give it a shot, your family wants you to come home after the hunt, walking. It takes less than two minutes to get up in your stand safely. Feels good knowing you are 100% protected from ground to platform and back. All my stands are setup. Invest $100. and teach others.
this is a very good video. especially cutting all saplings to ground level ten feet around the tree. they can impale you and you bleed out. always stay tied to tree when off ground. I fell 6 years ago. in coma for 11 days. died twice. don't assume your safe and it can't happen to you. also practice recovery at a low level to avoid suspension trauma
You don't have to be unsafe at all. I use my lifeline with my climber. Or you could use it with sticks or a ladder I'm sure. Just move it up the tree as you move up
Gene, I myself did it the American way. My stand broke while taking it down, I fell 21 ft breaking my hip. I never wore safety gear, Alway thought it could not happen to me. Took the air med crew over 2 hrs to get me out of the woods. Right at 100,000 in medical bills for a new hip, plus the air med bill. It's a lot cheaper to buy a 100 dollar harness. So you Don't wake up in pain every day.
