I hung some similar yesterday it's called Quadrille. As soon as the glue hit the paper it started to wrinkle up edges started to curl. It was very time consuming had to Trim side Edges on Wallpaper before Installation. I put it on the wall and did the same process as you. It had blisters and they all went away after about an hour. I was really amazed how that paper works. Good job Spence!
Seems like a very durable surface even though its hand painted. Is it baked and sealed in manufacturing? I always thought they would be more fragile than what I'm seeing here.
Question , If your corner isn't square wouldn't it get cut at this inside and creating a new plumb line on the next wall ? Thanks for the input in advance . Michael O
Michael, you are absolutely correct; if you trim the corner, it really doesn’t have anything to do with whether or not it’s plum you could theoretically trim the corner and still have a crooked edge; the trick is to pull the wallpaper from the corner as far as you can go while keeping the wallpaper in the corner matched up to its 90° counterpart; when you start to see a gap that is when you must stop Pulling the wallpaper from the corner out to the forward edge then you have to start coming in toward the corner until the wallpaper overlaps 187H; what you wind up with is and access in the corner that has to be trimmed in order to give you a straightforward edge on the 90° counterpart wall onto which you’re beginning your new sheet of wallpaper; play something of that makes any sense
Do you ever use a wallpaper liner? If so, when do you know to use it? I have a Clarence House paper that says on the instructions it is required…wondering if that is always the case?
Imaginethat1069 Here’s the deal… Some people don’t like when you take videos when they are around; I’m speaking about the people I work for… The folks who owned this house were lovely. But I do not want to take the chance of getting somebody upset because sometimes I’m accused of promoting my business while I’m supposed to be “working. “And so if I take a video camera people think it’s slowing down progress.
