How to Hang Heavy Objects

I really appreciate the time you took to explain the usage of these different anchors. I always used the terms "molly" and "anchors" interchangeably, but now I know that the molly bolt is a specific kind of anchor. In the past, I tried pounding the molly anchor into drywall the same way you do with a plastic anchor--without the screw--but now I see that you have to drive that anchor in with the screw AND tighten it, THEN remove it and go from there. Thank you for the clarification! Now I can use all these molly bolts properly!

Thanks, Ron, for making this super simple and useful! I am a single mom and in my first home. Still afraid to hang some decor. I did try to hang a heavy Pottery Barn welcome/mail center at my entryway with the screw anchors and screws that came with it, but it tilts forward and is not flush. It also fell twice when the door was shut hard. I have the screws still a bit far from the wall. Should I screw them in closer and will that help? Thank you!

Thanks, Ron. How would you recommend hanging a hose rack/reel on the exterior of a manufactured home (composite materials siding)? Would you recommend finding and drilling into a stud with a lag screws? What if the rack fixture is designed to be mounted/installed horizontally and the holes for the screws on the fixture itself are not at the correct intervals to go into the more than one stud? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Everyone is doing wall mount videos and fails which is great, but why is no one doing videos and fails on ceiling mounts. Of course the ideal is to mount directly into joists. I saw this video which makes unbelievable claims for ceiling mount toggle bolt installations. The guy actually actually hangs from pot rack and claims installation can hold 400 pounds:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KPIAnP0O4_oI.html I am very skeptical since various drywall anchors like toggles can hold considerably more weight suspended from walls as opposed to ceilings.
