According to New Age, the cleats are not intended as the only means of securing them to the wall. Additional lags or screws should be used in the slots inside the cabinet at the back.
I really like them. Heavier gauge steel than most, double sided doors that swing off of high quality soft close hinges. Their regular series is pretty light which may be good on some light fit for purpose uses.
I plan on mounting a set the same way, clever idea. Can you possibly tell me the measurements from the bottom of the base cabinets to the top of the counter? I'm trying to hardwire in some wiremold before hanging drywall.
