On my 05 electra glide, the spacers on the front axle are different lengths. It's not obvious unless you hold them up next to each other. If you get them installed on the wrong sides, the brakes won't fit on the discs properly. It's a good idea to keep track of which one came off which side when you take them off. Thanks for the video!

Happy to help. You're right, I agree with you 100%. When you take something apart put the parts on the right side and the parts from the left on the left side and you'll keep yourself out of trouble. It's an easy mistake to be made, especially if they fall on the floor and roll. Thank you for your comment and all your support. Road King are great motorcycles. Ride safe and have a great day.

Hi Rocco...Nice video, but the workshop manuals all recommend coating the entire axle with anti-seize lubricant...Here's why... "Anti-seize: Use on fasteners/components that have a different metal type than the material you are fastening to (the axle and bearings are dissimilar metals). The use of Anti-seize is for the prevention of dissimilar metal oxidation which occurs when two different metals come in contact".

Happy to help. Remove the calipers and see if the wheel spins at least then you know it's the brakes and you need to align the hole in the axle to your fork. And by aligning it all you're doing is shifting the fork tube over and re-tightening the pinch bolts on the bottom of the fork tube. Let us know if that helps. And if you need any other help, send me a cell number and I will call you.

Spray penetrating oil in the axle hole throughout. And then I would would get a steel bar half-inch 15 inches long and I would run it through the left side as you're looking at your forks. you're sitting in front of your front end and tap the 1/2 bar with a 5 lb.hammer through the fork and through the rim and tap the axle out the right side. your axle has corrosion on it. Remove clean grease reinstall. Let us know how it works out. Thank you for watching and your sub Jonathan. Ride Safe and have a great day..

How are you rocco Hey had a question i got a roadking 2001 front wheel got 21 front spokes dna 🧬. I ride the bike normal but the other day i jacked up the bike and try to spin the front wheel and it was torqued just like you did it. Like the manual said. Front wheel in the air by hand spins like its dragging. Not to mention new rotors new brake pads and front wheel with the brand new rim but when is on the ground rides smooth. Fender didn’t had to be extended based on other’s knowledge. You got any ideas whats the dragging?
@TwoWheelRocco
@TwoWheelRocco 3 года назад
Remove brake calipers and see how it spins without calipers. It is normal for there to be some drag on your wheel rotation. if you see abnormal brake dust on one or the other side. Check axles adjustment by pinch bolt. and hole in axles. Let us no how this works out. Ride Safe and have a great day.

I just used this video to change my front tire on my 2006 road king. First time ever doing it. I put the spacers back on the way they came off but it seems at 45mph my front tire is bouncing any other speed smooth as butter. Which way exactly are the spacers soppose to go back on? Mine has arrow type notches in one side but not the other. Notched one was put on the clutch handle side and the one without on the break handle side. Is that correct? I don't have a Manuel.

Happy to help. If you had spaces on the wrong side your caliper on the front brake side would not line up properly. Check your air pressure. And when you say you put the tire on how did you mount the tire onto the wheel? Thank you for watching. Check tire pressure. I believe if it was on the wrong side of space or you know about it real quick. Let us know how it works out. Ride safe and have a great day. I also commented on another one of your comments about the pinch bolts just wanted to specify that I was wrong it is 132 to 180 inch pounds I was told the wrong information.
