🌱✨ Want a garden tip where you can just pick money up off the dirt? Yep, that’s what I was doing today, and you can do it too! Harvesting nasturtium seeds is as easy as 1-2-3 and it's a total money-saver! 💸💚First of all, nasturtiums are excellent pest control…they attract the pests away from your garden. Next, these vibrant blooms not only add a pop of color to your garden (which attracts all your pollinators), but also provide delicious edible flowers and peppery leaves.
Now, let's talk about those seeds - all you need to do is wait until the flowers fade and the seed pods start to dry out. Then, simply pluck them off the plant, or do what I did and give the plant a little shake, then pick them up off the ground. Stick them in a paper bag on a shelf in your pantry for a month or so until they fully dry out. Then store in a cool dry place (my seeds are all in a drawer).
Voilà! You've just harvested seeds for next season's blooms, without spending a dime! 🌼💰 Who else loves this thrifty gardening hack? Share your tips below! #NasturtiumLove #ThriftyGardening #DIYSeeds #GrowYourOwn 🌿🌸
