Thank you for this video. I harvested some blooms yesterday, looking forward to making tea, tincture and oil from goldenrod. Everything is coming on to harvest early this year, so this is very timely😊
Glad to see this comment because I've been searching for this topic for several days. I have crunchy, fluffy Goldenrod. And I don't know what to do with it. I cut it and hadn't used it yet
I don't wash at all, that could lead to mold. The best thing to do is harvest in clean areas that are not near dirt roads or under power lines :-) after I harvest I keep my plants outside for a while so the bugs can go back to their natural habitat.
Hi Cindy maybe you have some suggestions for me I’m watching this goldenrod video I have an issue where I have an existing hole in my eardrum but I also have what is called Raina situs it’s basically where my sinuses back up into my station tubes one of them is damaged somehow and allows drainage sinus drainage to flow into my middle ear and then comes through the pinhole in my eardrum until I get that fixed I have issues so I’m constantly on Flonase Benadryl and allergy pills I’m wondering if you make some kind of concoction that would help my sinuses I’ve tried honey constantly different kinds of honey as well my issues start up in August with drainage and infection to the ear. And than again in January thru May.
It's eustation tube...don't put anything in there whilst a hole exists. You do not want to set up a middle ear infection as it can migrate to your inner ear...the distance between your inner ear to the brain is small...friend died of untreated inner ear infection...broke through and died within 48°. Herbs that contain chemicals which cause a physio-chemical response or change are by definition "drugs". Retired PharmD w emphasis in infectious disease and pharmacognasy...drugs from plants. See: hemlock, poppy, foxglove, mayapple...all contain chemicals/drugs which can help or hinder. Don't be duped and don't worship Gaia.
