How to harvest perennial cassava and preserve it for 365 days, homegrown food - Ep.165
Do you know? I have planted these trees cassavas for 3 years now, I just harvested them today. The cassava roots are very large. After harvesting, I process and preserve them by drying. Hopefully there will be no rain in the coming days, otherwise my cassava pile will be ruined
The subtitle as well as the detailed article I will update at the website "primitiveskills.net", the official website of Primitive Skills

PSA to anyone planning to plant cassava for themselves! Please Please PLEASE remember to do your research - Cassava in its unprocessed form can be highly toxic, being high in cyanide deposits. Please make sure that any cassava you obtain fresh has been processed enough to be safe for human or animal consumption. The processing to make it into tapioca flour is usually sufficient (you see him start the process here), however caution is advised for first homegrown attempts. The wikipedia page on cassava has a number of concerning incidents in its report, so please be careful for your own sake.

I swear, if next episode is "how to make taiwanese bubble tea," I'm quitting my job and moving to the jungle.

Sometimes before falling a sleep I like watching this beautiful scenery and you work on something interesting. I don't know why, but it's so relaxing. Kinda reminds me childhood summers at my grandmother in a farm.

Great video as always! I'm amazed at the work you put in. An old saying my Grandfather used to say. "There's 3 things a man never gets tired of watching..... Fire, running water, and someone else working"

You need to plant a small fish next to the cotton plants. I love the way you do everything from scratch, make the iron, then hammer, then nail, then sawmill... your the most skilful of all on RU-vid. I notice some of them follow your channel and then try to copy your skills in their survival videos. Very proud of you, I wish I was there to help.

I'm Brazilian, always though cassava was a Brazil only thing, interesting to see it has been introduced in Asia. The natives here have been eating cassava for millenia. Did you know you can make flour with it? You might want to try it out. With the flour you can make a lot of things.

Hey, is that primitive skills 2 channel yours or someone stealing your content? Just thought you should know since it has no links to your real channel which makes it look like someone is reuploading your videos.

I know yuca/cassava very well after yrs working with indigenous and mestizo farmers in the deepest of the Amazon forests (where the plant comes from). Just some comments:
