So I just discovered two of mines laid eggs in my 55 gallon community tank. I transferred them and the eggs to a 20 gallon tank but now the male is eating all the eggs. Should I remove the male? I think he fertilized some of the eggs already.
I see that you put wigglers into a tank that has free swimmers in it. What age span is it safe to do that. I have free swimmers that have been swimming for four days. I'll have wigglers in two days. Will they be safe or should I wait until the 2nd batch is free swimming. Eggs were laid 9 days apart. (different pair)
If you "suck" the eggs out, like you did on the end of the video, how can you get the airbubbles to pass them then? Hope you answer. Kind regards from the Netherlands
I watched your video, i just need some advise,. Why the eggs of my angelfish always turned into white,, while some are live,, about 12 fries only. What do you think is the problem? I used a water from deepwell and put some drops of methylene blue, but it doesnt work,, the eggs became black,,, then at the third time i used distilled water,,, and its little bit ok bec,i saw 12fries,,,now again n again as in now they sre laying eggs,, i jjust dont know what to do next, i think theres something wrong in my process? Or water type? Pls. Help, thank u very much!
Hi! Thank you so much for this tutorial! I wanted to ask you some questions. My goldfish just laid eggs and I don’t know what to do. My fishes had laid eggs and they hatched but they died all the baby fishes. They were only 1 cm. Then my fishes laid eggs again and I don’t want to die them again. Can you tell me the reason why my fishes died before and what can I do to prevent the new baby fishes dying.
Hi there I got my son a few angelfish and a fishtank a few months back, but two out of four angelfish had babies and they have hatched there eggs can I take the fry and put them in a breeder box to prevent the other two angel fish or parents eating the fry
To stop fungus use methylene blue at 2.3% use 0.5ml or 10 drops per gall or use 3% hydrogen peroxide 3ml per gall and leave it in, dose the same every day utill they start to hatch. Can also use Acroflavine or Copper sulfate:
HELP...I've tried pulling the eggs once laid, ~4-batches (i.e., leaf, cone and slate), putting them in a 10-gallon aquarium with 10-drops of methylene blue to prevent fugus, the eggs have hatched (i.e., wiggler stage) onto free-swimming stage but my hatching problems are either the wigglers begin to dye-off--only making 1-2 gallon water changes here; or, once they become free-swimming, again they begin to dye off. I need to understand what I'm doing wrong here. I saw another one of your videos where you too had your free-swimmers dyeing off unexpectantly too, you believed their was some sort of tank contamination where they were housed, but to save the ones that you could, you ended-up putting them in a more established tank with larger fish which seem to correct your then problem. Open to advice and direction...you didn't mention water changes for wigglers, your thoughts???
HOB filter can be made fry safe as well. Even those with a skimmer function like the Tidal one. Artemia blender is ideal for raising bbs. Sponge filter btw are better than the hob filter cause of fry can eat from them (algae and infusoria).
My baby small mouth bass has fungus I think he got it from the minnows, I'm giving him treatment but I'm wondering if there is some thing else I should give him.
hay may i ask my two fantail fish have matted and she has laid eggs i have removed them and left the eggsin the tank is it ok to leave the filterpump on and in there or would it suck them up when they hatch

@MasterAquatics my eggs have hatched and i have alot of babies fishies i am researching what todo next but from a professional view would be great too 😁
@@MasterAquatics I thought the water from parents tank as its where the egges were layed in first place. Can i mix half fresh water and half breeding tank water?
Our angelfish has layed eggs, today make 3 days. I was wondering why they fell off of the slate and are laying on the bottom of the tank below the slate, they are all wiggling. Are they going to die or what is going on. This is my 3rd attempt first time I got 10 babies but died after a week, they all turned white the second time, this time only a few turned white but now they are all on the bottom.
I have pearl danios and they will never breed, have them for a few months and I’m pretty sure I have two males and three females I’ve raised the temps give them good food fattens them up everything you could think of and they won’t
Attempting to raise my first batch of angelfish eggs. I wasn't able to get two of the wiggling eggs because of then being in a corner. I'm hoping the parents stop being aggressive soon, my other 2 angelfish only have maybe 1/5 of the tank and are still being chased.
@@TheBSideDJ do not use methylene blue!!! Theirs many much better options like acriflavine, peroxide, tannins etc. I highly recommend making a tea using Oak leaves or Cattapa leaves and add it to the water with the eggs. It’s great for preventing fungus and enhances the water quality for the fish/eggs. Methylene blue is an old trick and has been replaced by much better options. In fact, theirs many studies that show that methylene blue actually can mutate DNA. Not to mention, methylene blue isn’t even very effective in preventing most types of fungus. It will still grow at times.
I have a question. I have goldfish and was wondering if there was a certain time of year to do this? Is there a certain age? How will I know when to start this process? I'm new to this, but I've had these fish for about two to two and a half years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
OK so... 1 year later and I'm back. Reason being it's been a year since my angels paired up and have been laying eggs it happens about every two weeks. Every time it has failed until this week. Finally my pair was successful although at least 75% of the eggs turned white, about 4 dozen have hatched. And I have wrigglers at the moment. I've just let them do their thing and finally it's working out. I don't have high hopes that this will be completely successful but just having a hatch has been a huge achievement. Wish me luck!
Plz help me my goldfish have given eggs and ...I want to know that ...if it going to hatch or not ..? What are. The symbols that helps u to know that ...actually eggs are going to hatch. ...plz do.reply ....

Dear Sir, Thanks for your valuable videos which helps me a lot. I need your valuable guidance. I have 3-nos of spawning pair who continuously laying eggs. My breeding pairs are not that much knowledgeable to taking care of their fry. They are too much frighten and they continuously taking them one place to other by their mouth after free swimming. So, I am taking out the fry from parents and growing out myself. Now I face a problem that within one-month half of the fry die and become half. Till this time, I could not find out the problem. I am following your videos and doing bottom cleaning with airline tubing syphon as well as changing water. I am using 10gal tank for each spawning. Please give me some guidance so that I can save them. Thanking you, With regards, Pranab
only feed after the stage of being free swimming, which is day 1.. i start with infusoria on day 1, infusoria and vinigar eels 2nd and 3th day, and brineshrimp on the 4th day after being free swimming. I feed minimum 30 to 50 days only brineshrimp, 3 to 5 times a day. Don't feed them while they are wigglers. Don't forget big grow out tanks and a lot of water changes (daily !!!!) , to prevent bad quality in your fry.
Old comment, but updating this in case someone else reads this. Painting the tank does not ruin it!!! The paint is very easily and quickly removed with a razor blade!!!! I’m talking stupid simple!!! So you have nothing to worry about when painting your tank! Seems self explanatory, but some people need a bit more explaining to understand a simple concept.
