Here are 5 tips to help you achieve an unmedicated childbirth in a hospital setting without a doula. Not everyone can afford or desires to have a homebirth or a birth center birth, so I wanted to share how I gave birth twice in a hospital setting without an epidural (and without hiring a doula). It's all about mental preparation!

This is exactly my experience! Everyone and their mother are telling me "just get the epidural" but as a woman I want to have this experience to its full bodily experience! Thank you for your video.

Thank you for sharing your tips. It has been difficult talking to some friends and family members about attempting an unmedicated hospital birth. I keep hearing, "Just get the epidural...," or "There is not a prize for how tough the delivery is, so don't make it harder on yourself than what it has to be...get the epidural." I enjoy hearing positive stories of women having unmedicated births. It truly inspires and encourages me.

I feel like the society unfortunately sets women up to fail, rather than helping them achieve an empowering birth. You can definitely do it and you’ll feel so proud. ☺️
