After a little hiatus, Bar Talk & Cocktails is back with new episodes. Starting with how to make the Golden Dream Cocktail. When I started my bartending career way back in the 1970s, it was a dark period for cocktails. I was a little hesitant to make the Golden Dream for you, for fear it’d be just as nasty and cloying as similar drinks of its time. But, the Golden Dream is actually delicious. Why wouldn't it? It contains Galliano!! However, if we dig a little deeper, its origins may be found a number of years prior the 1970s. Maybe that's why I like it! The alcoholic version of that classic frozen treat for grownups. A Creamsicle in a glass! Cheers!

THE GOLDEN DREAM COCKTAIL
--------------------
IN A SHAKER COMBINE:
1oz (30ml) - GALLIANO L'AUTENTICO
1oz (30ml) - COINTREAU
1oz (30ml) - ORANGE JUICE (FRESHLY SQUEEZED)
1/2oz (15ml) - CREAM
-TOSS IN SOME ICE AND GIVE IT A GOOD SHAKE.
-FINE STRAIN INTO A CHILLED COCKTAIL GLASS.
-TRADITIONALLY SERVED WITHOUT A GARNISH.
