how to heal from heartbreak *1 year later* 

I’m currently going through the worst heartbreak. I pray I find healing and feel better. Reading these comments makes me realise I’m not alone, heartbreak hurts but one day, I’ll look back at all of this laugh

our breakups happened around the same time. I was also in a 6 year relationship, I still feel stuck in the place I was a year ago because I continuously tried to hold on to something that wasn’t there anymore. I hope that in another year I can be in a brighter place. your journey is so inspiring and thank you for being so vulnerable with us!

A month ago my relationship with my first love (of 3.5 years) ended. I keep telling myself it’s going to get easier but it really hasn’t yet. It’s so good to see someone who has gotten through it but still validates the pain of it. I’m just trying to honor my emotions every day and I hope I can find myself again

It has been almost a year since I've found this video and after my breakup. It did get easier as time went on. The first few months were the MOST DIFFICULT days to get by. I would cry myself to sleep almost every night because the pain was too much. Now, I don't really do that much because I've slowly learned to let him go. Sure, I do miss my ex and the memories do pop up in my head, but I had to remind myself that we broke up for a reason and we just didn't work out that year. So now, I've been focusing on my goals, trying to build my art career, trying to get my first part time job, going to therapy , and teaching myself psychology/how to handle relationships better, so that if we do try again, I would have more knowledge on this kind of thing. I hope that those who are hurting will find peace and give a chance for yourself to grow :)

So, after 8 months he came back and during that time I healed and I discovered myself again: I changed and Im completely into every word you said in this video. Life is crazy because I was so vulnerable so I thought to return back to him and then it happened the Erasmus: the best decision of my life and right now I found another man, we are together and we are so happy. my “boyfriend” ghosted me for no apparent reason when I needed him the most. It hurts like hell but I feel better that I’m not alone on this.. When you said, “there is healing that is being bad,” I felt that. After my first heartbreak I tried doing everything right and wholesome. It wasn’t working, so I said f it, booked a girls trip to Miami & I was healed 😭

Thank you for this. I know it may not of been easy to show your personal experience going through a hard unexpected breakup but you've helped me so much. A few days ago me and my boyfriend broke up and it was just a right person wrong time sorta thing and we still have so much love for each other and no hate but we need time to be by ourselves and we want to eventually get back together but we never know what God has planned for us so we may find new people in a year or two. I have felt so lost and confused bc he was my person and still is and im so thankful to still have him in my life bc we are close but I just have felt so confused on how to be friends bc i'm so used to calling him babe and touching him. You have helped with being okay to let out my emotions but also this pain i'm feeling is not a forever thing and this break me and him are taking is a time where i truly need to find me and become better for me and hopefully for our future relationship together. I know its gonna take time to recover and adjust to this big change on being on my own but you truly have helped me see some light at the end of this grieve.

So I've been separated from my will be ex spouse for a year now and it was rocky since 2017 frfr but yeah this is so true. So much hurt happened but we will be alright. My 5 year relationship just ended. Going through all the phases rn ugh

2 months into being cheated on and one thing that is helping me heal is I went back to the places I enjoyed with him and I have now made new memories there. I didn’t want to go bk to a place and hate it because of him. I bought him a book that we both wanted so I went and bought myself a copy We went to the theatre together, I just came bk from an even better show and found I had more fun without him.. in another 2 months I doubt I’ll think of him much at all, I’m getting bk to a great place ❤

It's been two months since my breakup of a 4-year relationship, it's still painful and I don't have many friends to talk to, all I can do is to accept it slowly by myself. I thought we were perfect together, I have not considered anyone else since we dated, it happened all of a sudden, perhaps it's just me thought it that way. I watched so many videos about how to let go and how to heal from a heartbreak, it's still a tough thing. I'm looking forward to seeing that change in me. I don't know how long it will take or what will happen in the future. Still trying to figure it out. Life is really a hard experience.

Barely 2 minutes in and I’m sobbing
