My life spiralled into a complete mess from an early age. I struggled with:
-Ever increasing fatigue and muscular pain
-severe anxiety and depression
-brainfog
-developed autoimmune disease
-in a toxic environment and relationship
-addictions to instant gratification (Video games, porn, TV shows)
-got to nearly 16 stone and looked dreadful. I could not even recognise my self.
-demolished self worth and self esteem
-body dysmorphia
the list was endless... my future looked bleak. At rock bottom I prayed to God as I had nothing left. I prayed for guidance and an opportunity to turn this around and it was given to me. From that day forward i dedicated myself to health and spreading the word on the truth. I'm incredibly passionate about health, mental health, relationship health... everything that allows us to live a happier life.
I thank you so much for watching my videos and spreading the word. It means a lot to me. I love hearing your recovery stories and how I've helped! :) Thanks for watching

This week started using earplugs and started to cover my eyes for complete silence and darkness. Now I'm going to take your advice on top of that. Thanks!

Thank you James. Great video. I am hoping to embrace a very low tech / old world life over the autumn and winter. It's hard when you are ill not to want constant 'internut' distraction. I've been struck by animals resting too. When my cat hurt its paw last summer, he rested for 2-3 days straight, hardly moving. A few weeks later and he's jumping off the roof again, giving me the jitters!

I have a few anxiety type symptoms left but I’m able to work run socialize or whatever without much limitation, I do like listening to him because of his wisdom

I really like James because he is all about no bullshit and just basic things what we all know, but we ignore them because it is hard to change. Like stop playing video games, stop masturbating all the time, going to bed early etc. etc.. So I like to watch his older videos to remind myself what is the most important stuff. THe funny thing is that most of the things that are the most effective are for free, but people have the hardest time doing them.. Everyone can buy some supplements and take pills, but not eating junk food and going to bed early? That is hard very hard for most people..

So true! I just got netflix for the first time ever. And I feel *worse* than ever! No relaxation at all, just riveting shows that are addictive and cause adrenaline production.

Did you feel stunted in your growth or feel needy like a child thinking that no one can ever depend on you, and anxious about responsibility and sharing yourself with the other person? If so how did you heal this? Also did you have fear of becoming a father and fear of having a complete breakdown if you were to become a father? I am sorry if this was so dense but would love to hear this side of your story. Love the work man, God bless
@HealthRecovery
@HealthRecovery Год назад
I’ll be honest mate I definitely felt stunted but when I recovered my mindset was good so I was prepared for anything. I felt like I could do anything after recover. I had no fear of becoming a father either. It all came down to self love and self belief. I think more now than ever I have those anxieties because I need re establish the narrative in my mind that I can do anything and have belief in my self.

Did you suffer from diminished/low libido during your cfs?
@HealthRecovery
@HealthRecovery Год назад
It’s a question that requires it’s own video I think. For a long time I thought I had a high libido but the reality was I had a high drive of avoidance. Took me a long time to realise this. I don’t hear much about this but if people are interested in my opinion I can speak about it

Do you have a toddler too? I have been so bad since mines been born and since Covid/some sort of virus I’ve crashed to a point I’ve never been before and basically housebound or bedridden on a bad day. I’ve been up the last 3 nights with a poorly toddler and it’s really made everything so much worse. Can flus and things make burnout worse? Or vice versa? Thank you for your videos do you ever do consultations?
@HealthRecovery
@HealthRecovery Год назад
Absolutely it can. And having a toddler is like nothing else, it makes everything more challenging when it comes to recovery. You have to optimise your time as best as you can. I’ve found that getting into bed early with them is a good use of time. Consultations coming soon 👍

What are your thoughts on taking melatonin
@HealthRecovery
@HealthRecovery Год назад
I think it’s a bad idea. Much better to get your own rhythm sorted even if it takes longer
@AM2K2
@AM2K2 Год назад
so 8 hours of sleep going to bed at 10pm is 'better' than 8 hours of sleep going to bed at midnight?
@Badboyifier
@Badboyifier Год назад
yes all the way
@AM2K2
@AM2K2 Год назад
@@Badboyifier is that because of the natural circadian rhythm? i read 'healing' occurs between 10pm-2am...dunno how accurate that is!
@HealthRecovery
@HealthRecovery Год назад
Yes it absolutely is. Try it for yourself and you will see. Give it time to adjust, it can take a while depending on your current pattern. I personally found 8pm even better and getting up at 5 ish.

Are you exercising like riding bike etc.? I am not talking about easy riding for one hour to just move your body and be outside. I am talking about riding like for hard exercise 3-4 or more hours.. I love cycling and I feel amazing when I am doing it. I feel actually like athlete with great health. But after that when I really calm down my body and the body knows that now can rest. I am like walking death... So I simply realized that I have to quit long aerobic exercise for good. Same like playing PC games and constantly elevating adrenaline it is simply horrible for the adrenals and overall health.. I also have to work about not watching things like PoliceActivity which is youtube channel or other things like that on the internet that instantly spike stress hormones in the body.
@HealthRecovery
@HealthRecovery Год назад
I don’t have time sadly, at most a 30-40min run. 30-40minute work outs and whatever is required at work. No high intensity long duration cardio. I loved riding too but it’s hard to fit it into my routine. It’s very hilly where I live so I’ve considered doing short HIIT on the bike instead

do you think u can heal from chronic lyme with ur healing approach?
@jirihutecka9020
@jirihutecka9020 Год назад
what healing approach are you talking about? He is simply about doing the basic stuff that we all know are good for us and not do the things that we all know are bad for us. So doing that can only help everyone with whatever health issues.. In terms of healing from lyme it is complex issue. Some people will heal just from doing the basic stuff like James is talking about and some people are other issues that can't be so easily solved and lyme on top of that just makes everything worse..
@Badboyifier
@Badboyifier Год назад
he talks about that the body heals normally when you give it everything it needs. (ok maybe except for AIDS)
@HealthRecovery
@HealthRecovery Год назад
I think it can only help. I was bitten by a tick that was on me all day as a 12 year old iirc. I worried about Lyme. All it did was stress me out. I focused on what I could do to support the body instead. I read one story of a guy that did all the conventional treatments and it never worked. High dose IV antibiotics etc. he did a raw vegan diet and rested and had no symptoms so I decided to put it out of my head, rest well, eat well etc and see what happens. Sometimes zoning in on a certain treatment plan and stressing about it makes us worse
