Hi! Would you clarify? I understand if an individual is asking repeatedly for reassurance that it’s unhealthy to respond the way you explained for the reasons you stated. I’m not asking for reassurance :) but for clarification- hey we all need humor- what if an individual is appropriately asking for reassurance or validation of their feelings or a situation /decision etc. Is it wrong to provide positive feedback thereby validating and reassuring the individual? I want to be clear that they are not repeatedly asking but appropriately looking for positive support or help. I hope I was clear. Im tired today! Thank you so very much! Best to all!!

What about testing. Example, you watch that really horror movie to reassure you don't like it, or you give your own neck or the neck of a teddy bear a little squeeze for about 2 to 3 seconds to check whether you like the feeling or not. Is that a form of reassurance? Because it's really distressing. Been having some panic attacks fr.

I've had all the usuals over the years.... Anxiety, Panic, Depression, PTSD, etc... but the OCD I'm dealing with now is by far the worst of all of them. Every waking moment is consumed (for me) with contamination OCD thoughts. It's almost unreal how much this has taken over, and I've gotten no relief from ERP/NOCD and other attempts to get better. Thanks for the video.

Try inositol I give this to my son and even though it has not gone completely it does help. Also magnesium calm the brain too.

This critical information reached me tooo late!! My SO, who is suffering under OCD, had breaked up with me a few days ago, after I could not provide her with the right answers, since I myself suffer under what appears to be ADHD. The lack of rewarding change made me feel helpless and angrier over time, so that I snapped! I wish I would have known this pattern a year ago, where it was getting obvious. This information should be teached in school at an earlier Age!

My son is 10 years old diagnosed with Autism mild but about 3 yrs ago many changes and situations occurred within school that was traumatic for him went on school refusal/anxiety but things got worst and he also got diagnosed with PANS. He will not leave the house, wear pj’s day and night his life is gotten so limiting life is so hard for him. How can I help him at home please advice

Hi Nate i have extreme OCD perfectionisme my mind is telling me that I have to do everything so perfect and If I do somthing not perfect my mind react like I made a big mistake and then I start to have anxiety and stress my goal is to become back a imperfect person instead of a perfect person what should I do?

#3 Be a part of their treatment. (You wrote “be apart of their treatment,” which means separate and the opposite of what you meant!)

washing hands of a teenager for about an hour every day at least twice a day, it's a terrible nightmare ...helpppp...also denies to expose

Exposure can only happen once the person is able to come down to a calm state. If they aren’t there, exposure will make it worse. Exposure has to be incremental and patient led. You can help the person learn calming techniques and begin with just a conversation about how exposure can help over time, but reassuring that it will be entirely on the person’s timeline and you will be there to support them. At first, just talking about the exposure will be the first step of exposure. Start small.❤

Amen! Jesus healed me from depression and complex PTSD. It's amazing as nothing else was getting me better but now it has completely gone as though I never had it in the first place.
