This "easiest trail" is definitely not an easy one. You're lucky you were able to witness the sea of clouds. When we went there it was raining and the wind was kinda intense. Up to now it's still my record breaking 58,500+ steps. Natives say that when the gods are disturbed by groups on the campsite, they make the weather a bit horrible for Trekkers. But if the campers are behaved, you get a majestic view just like that. 🙂

I remember when I went there, I celebrated my 18th birthday. I refused to have a grand debut and did hike instead. I can say, it was the best gift I have given to myself. Fresh air, nice people, amazing view, and the sunrise and shooting stars that took my breath away. It was truly a majestic and surreal experience that i will never forget.

I've been there and the experience was great..even the so called easiest trail Ambangeg will make your heart palpitate a lot..but as you reach the green scenery and the breath taking sea of clouds view beneath your feet, as much as you wanted to shout out loud for conquering it, you'll realized how speechless you'll become. Mt.Pulag is amazing.

I agree.. Short, sweet but not that easy. I did it in December of 2017 also in a 48 hr time frame.. from an 18 hr flight to manila the day before the trek. It was drizzling wet and slippery when I did the hike. My local guide was a gem.

Been there 3yrs. ago, month of July. Bumabagyo pa, but didn’t stop us from climbing Pulag. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a clear view of the rolling hills and sea of clouds. Pero, it’s really a nice place, napaka simple lang, nakaka relax. And the locals are very accommodating. Hoping to get back! Luvin your vid, Erwan! Cheers!

We climbed Mt. Pulag last February and thank God we had a nice clearing ❤ sobrang ganda ng Mt. Pulag 🌼 umiyak lang ako nung nasa taas na kami kasi akala ko di ko magagawa kasi parang susuko na ako sa lamig. Nag chills na ako nung 4:30 am. Buti nalang dinala ko yung blanket ng homestay namin. I wore 5 layers of shirt and jackets pero hindi ko pa din kinaya yung lamig. January to February daw ang pinaka malamig sa Mt. Pulag at bababa ang temp hanggang 4° celcius. Planning to climb again this year ❤ thank you erwann for showing your vid.. nagbalik lahat ng alaala sakin sa pah akyat ko sa Pulag ❤

My 1st climb was in mt. Pulag... We slept outside the basecamp using tent and your not gonna fall asleep beacuse the weather is so cold so we watch the night and wait for our climb at 12 midnight instead! It was an amazing hike though!! Congratulations Mr. Erwan..😊😀

We did that climb when I was 20 as part of our Field Botany Class in UP Diliman. We were a bunch of city slickers climbing the second highest peak in the Philippines. We had only one guide, the late and well renowned Leonard Co. We bought our caps and gloves in Baguio and our walking sticks came from the fallen branches picked up from the forest. Hand held flashlights were the thing then, it was 1979.
