Awesome editing. I’ll be doing this trek in a few months and I’m stressing about packing. Were you able to take that backpack as a carry-on? I’m looking at a 40 liter backpack but I’m not sure how tightly packed it would be. Did you use compression cubes for your clothes?

thanks! i think you can get by with 40 liters if you pack tight. my camera gear was in a separate bag, but I had a spare lens and some other camera adjacent electronics I carried in my osprey that took up a lot of room. be sure to do an HONEST test pack once you decide what you want to take. a few months is luckily a good bit of time to feel that all out. happy hiking!
