We continue the fifth series of the CPSA's How to Hit videos, sponsored by Browning. In this series CPSA Senior Coach Simon Arbuckle will be covering the Trap disciplines of Down-the-Line (DTL), Automatic Ball Trap (ABT), and Olympic Trap (OT).
In this episode, Simon is joined by Olympic bronze medallist Steve Scott to give us an introduction to Olympic Trap (OT). OT is considered the pinnacle of Trap shooting, with very fast targets thrown from fifteen different traps hidden in a trench.
This series was filmed at the National Clay Shooting Centre at Bisley by James Marchington.

What a clear and concise explanation by Steve. Everything he said was so easy to understand and take on board. A refreshing insight into this gold ribbon trap discipline.

Could the cpsa explain why it bought 10 range rovers and has £10m in the bank while doing nothing for shooters other than a database?

This briefing needs illustrations. It is very difficult to follow for non-initiates. Very interesting nevertheless.

I am confused by what the young gentleman said. "Each stand will have one left, one right, and one relatively straight target." But also: "Two lefts, two rights, and one straight from each stand." Which is it? 1,1,1 or 2,2,1?

I believe the former description applied to the throwers - for each station there are three throwers, one throwing to the left, one relatively down the middle, and the third to the right. You need to shoot five targets at each station to complete the round of 25.
