I dunno man. Your “before” swing, especially the follow-through, is a lot more free flowing. There seems to be a lot more rigidity in the “after” swing.
112mph giving 158ball mph =1.41 smash factor as the max is 1.5 i think your doing ok. Is chasing that last 10mph of ball speed worth it. Concentrate on scoring 100 yds in instead imho
There is always value in scoring working on 100 yards and in but 10 mph means 20 yards. That is substantial. If he can pick up 20 yards with a driver fitting.....
9 to 5 Golf Hugh Manning All the drivers of the last few years have been up to the R&A legal limits. He may be getting a lot of backspin on his shots but in that case he could experiment with club face angle and loft up rather than change equipment. Even the pro is saying I'd take that all day in the video
it is always interesting to see how one goes from 100 to 110 but to go from, 110 to 120 with some control is a good research project also it cam make a huge difference on the course to carry that last bunker.
The center face hits show he is getting almost everything he can out of that club in terms of ball speed. So he has got to make an equipment change to raise his smash factor. That is what I take from it.
You are right! B is right in the center of the face and just slightly below where he wants to strike it(B says it at 5:45). And you are also correct that the sweet spot is just above center and an 1/8 inch towards the toe. I just think he is striking it close enough to that spot that I dont think it will matter much in his ball speed. Just to be clear, he may not be hitting the sweet spot perfectly but he is very very close.
@@Tigersmundo no. The face of the club is round. Hence the sweetspot/hotspot is shifting depending on how you swing. So for example with a fade - the hotspot could be a little bit more towards the heel. With draw towards the toe.
i say find someone hitting at 120 mph and compare your swings and see what he is doing different to get that last 10 mph. lighter driver? more turn? or?
I hit balls at the Golden Horseshoes sister course range. While I was at the Kingsmill tournament. It was awesome. It’s a great concept to let people hit as many balls as they want for 2 hours.
How in the world are you not improving? You have seen the best golf instructors for years. Tried all of the latest technology in equipment, for a goose egg. Have a freaking golf "show". How about listening and paying attention, instead of talking over everbody.
it's because he signed a deal with someone that teaches him the swing is all about the right side which leads to super high spin numbers, shit ass smash factor, and hella inconsistent results. Dude can putt, but he doesn't push himself to play real courses that are rated over 70.5 121.
Too bad most of us can't afford to practice with the more sophisticated devices like the pros have, particularly the Foresight GC Quad and Trackman 4. It would be game changing to be able to work on swing "intent" driven improvements by assessing the usual launch data numbers, but particularly useful if we could graphically see the angle of attack and face impact conditions using the newest launch monitors.
B, It Just seems like your ball speed should be significantly higher. Could it be as simple as a driver fitting? I almost never believe that the equipment is the issue but if path and face are pretty well matched up then I think that the club is the next thing to address right?
Literally going to a good club fitter (not pga superstore bs) is the best thing anyone can do to get there numbers maximized. If you clubhead spead is 112 and your ball speed is 157, you got problems. You can swing the club like 105 mph and your ball speed can be 157. Find the right shaft and stop working out for nothing dude.
