Thanks a lot Ma'am for the Tutorial video. I had lost my writing abilities post joining my profession where I am engaged technically and most of the times keyboards solve the purpose but recently when I started to write on paper i was so shattered seeing that I can't even hold my pen properly and whenever I tried to write, my pen used to slip away from my fingers and my fingers used to ache after writing a few words. Presently, after seeing your tutorial i gained back my skill although i am still under practice session but minutes post going through the tutorial i wrote a complete a4 page with just a little pain in my small finger, perhaps it might be due to wrongly holding the pen at times and the alphabets too got shaken at times which I believe would get better with practice. I am earnestly grateful to you for the above video as it helped me gain back my confidence. Thanks and best regards.

i am autistic and ever since i was a kid i have found writing to be difficult and sometimes painful. i even have a +10 year old callus on my finger from writing wrong as a 1st grader! this video helped me learn how to hold a pen in a way that doesn't hurt and makes my handwriting legible :) thank you!

thank you so much, I am 17 year old and my board exams are closer. my preboard exams are going now currently, usually I feel more pain in my fingers because of those big paragraph which we used to write. finally I can feel much comfortable now. thank you

This is exactly how I hold a pen, I started to doubt if it was correct because I am currently living in India and at my first job my colleagues laughed at me for how I hold the pen. But it's good to know that I'm not the one with the problem 😁

I tried to hold my pen like that. While it indeed is much easier on my hand, I have literally no control over my handwriting.

I have been writing this way for the last 14 years. And as a result I have a callus on the last phalanx of my middle finger, and it only dissappears during summer breaks. I don't know who are the people that find this useful. But if you write 6 hours a day, 6 days a week, 9 months a year, like in a Uni, this way won't work. Actually almost all of my peers switched away from this method at some point. I'm not a doctor, but I found that using three finger tips to hold the pen works better, because it doesn't produce calluses after extended periods of writing. But the pen is less stable this way, so there is a trade-off.

This is exactly how I hold a pen, but I have had problems with it because I write everyday, so when I rest my pen on the third finger, it has created a red bump on my finger and I don't know what to do about it.

You shouldn't pivot from your wrist rather the forearm muscle closer to your elbow or the elbow itself.

Thanks so much!!! After writing a few sentences, my lower thumb hurts like crazy. Assumed it was my finger placement and grip. After watching this, I can write without it hurting. Sure it will take some getting used to but I’d rather my hands be a little uncomfortable than in pain..

I am holding pen with the 3 fingers only but i don't rest the pen on middle finger but i hold pen with my thumb index middle finger tip My middle finger hurts by the way in the video What to do?? Should i continue writing as i was writing earlier

This is not correct This is how I write and it's so problematic and causes a callus on the middle finger that takes MONTHS to go away. The right way (that I literally cannot seem to find on english sites) is almost like "pinching" the pen between your thumb, pointing finger and middle finger and using your arm and not wrist to write. Having spent the last 15 years of writing this way (as pictured in the video) has been a pain.

Can’t believe I’m searching up how to properly write it’s so embarrassing but understandable because I’m writing with my left hand when I usually use my right. After a lesson in art when I was rubbing my finger on the page the ink went onto my finger then I looked at my friend and they had perfectly clear hands and was holding a pencil different from how I held mine,so I simply said to him "I don't think I'm holding the pencil properly" then I told him "How do you hold the pencil properly" Owning up to me not knowing how to hold it" he showed me how I was confused, I was like "How are you meant to write like that!?" I'm one of the most smartest people in my new year and I don't even know how to hold pencil! I was always wondering why my handwriting looked Sh*t

I don't know. I haven't experienced this. Are you squeezing it tightly? It should be relaxed and only gently curled. I hope that helps.
