How to: Homestuck Arm Sock Tutorial

This tutorial is super helpful since I'm going to be cosplaying Pearl from Steven Universe and most arm socks tutorials don't keep the part that is gonna be on the chest, which I will need!

I like to sew, especially hand stitching, and this just seems like a fun project for the challenge. I've been wanting to get some stretchy skin tight gloves to wear on my hands while I'm working because I have an issue with chewing on my nails and the skin around them and I've been trying everything to stop. I can't type with regular gloves and I do A LOT on my keyboard and mouse for my 3D modeling work and tights look like the answer. Cool vid and thanks for sharing.

BIt of advice- For my ripped tights sleeves, I usually use safety pins to keep the tights on my shoulders. This can ladder them, but I'm sure you could fix it with clear nail polish!!

Clear nail polish is the best! Any color polish may be visible when you turn your socks inside out, unless that is a risk you want to take

After the nail polish dries and you flip it back the right way to put it on, the dry polish is sharp and digs into my skin. Do you know any way of preventing this?

How do you do the round tips? Just cut the round shape and sew? Also what dize stockings work best small or xs?

I'm doing this for the first time and well I did look up how to sew and caught on to it pretty quickly. Some of my fingers are a bit tight though but i guess I need more practice... the only real problem that I'm having is cutting the thumb part Im pretty sure i messed up on that ... i need help I don't know if i should sew it up and make a better cut or something. :

Hey, so I'm a cosplayer of darker skin tone than most and I did as this said but the arm socks still showed of my natural skin color accept a tad bit greyer, I really don't know what to do and I need help T^T

So I don’t quite understand the part where you put the pins in to represent your fingers, could I trace around my fingers with a disappearing fabric marker instead to make it easier?

Did you add fake nails to your gloves when you were done? I know other cosplayers managed to add nails to their gloves but I attempted to add some to mine and I can't get them to stick to the tights at all.
