Thank you again for these basic, no-nonsense videos. Robin is the best tutor. I've been using bags and tips for years but never thought to score the plastic before cutting instead of just guessing. So sensible. So useful. Thank you 🤗

Pauline Wild She is great! I'll tell you I was taught with spatula and buttercream, had this tip been introduced in the course I've would been so happy. Ive used this tip many times yes I've had to go back and add icing to spots but it gives much more control of how much icing is put on the cake. It's a pain to refill the bag it's messy but do worth it. 😊

I like using a smaller flat tip to crumb coat a cake, especially if the cake is smaller than 6 inches.

What do you do with leftover buttercream icing? How long does buttercream icing last covered in the fridge?
@wilton
@wilton 5 лет назад
Hi Laurie, You can store leftover buttercream icing in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container. If you're not planning to use it for a while, you can freeze it for up to 6 months. Here's our video on how to store leftover icing: bit.ly/2M3JNuR Thanks!

I don’t have the ‘angled’ spatula. I could only find the straight one. I hope it won’t make too much of a difference. It just worried me because of how much you accentuated the ‘angled’ part.

I and a bunch of other people on Amazon have been searching for an adequate coupler. I have a 789, but don't use it because of the clean up mess. I'd rather use an angled spatula for buttercream, and a knife dipped in hot water every now and then for non-shortening icings. I suggest Wilson make a coupler for tips as large as this one.I can try a parchment bag so clean up does not involve turning a silicone bag inside out; I could just use a spatula to clean up the icing from the top of the parchment after I roll it out. Please make a coupler!!!! Your sales would be super!
