For the larval stage, Late March/Early April. This would be systemic peoducts injected into the root systems. If they are flying, you could use Bifenthrin to eliminate the adult dtages before they lay eggs.
@@ElevateApplicate thanks, that’s what I was thinking I have a hedge row of them with 150 shrubs in total the diameter of the shrubs bas is just under 1” dia and I applied 3ml per shrub and watered in well after applying at the base of the shrub. Now that I’m aware of this issue I will be applying towards the end of may as you had mentioned in previous comment
Honestly the earlier you can apply the better. I try and follow Growing Degree Days with pests. For Boxwood Leafminer here in Michigan, we really want to be treating early to mid April. May is on the late end but still effective.
