Can Figma open XD or Ai files? Yes and Yes!
Here are 3 easy and quick steps on how to import Adobe XD or Adobe Illustrator files into Figma!
I've tried exporting EPS files from illustrator before or using online tools to convert files and it never worked too well. This is the best method I've found!
Sometimes I still have to clean up a few things but this trick worked great!

Now you can drag SVG files directly to Figma canvas. Works fine!

Thank you it worked, because when I'm using Illustrator and saving my text in svg, the text size on figma doesn't match

Hi Adriano, and when right click doesn't show up on Figma? Do you know why it happens?

Hey there, a simple command/control + V should do the same. But if the right click context menu doesn’t show at all to you, you may want to troubleshoot. I found this relating to it: forum.figma.com/t/right-click-context-menu-not-working/23167

Hi Adriano! I want to import my website prototype from XD to figma. I tried this but images in it aren't transferring. I'm a very beginner and unable to figure this out. Please help.

Hi Fatima, this technique work mostly for vectors/non-image items. I believe the best way would be to export the images from XD to your computer and then drag or import them into Figma

You actually can but in my experience some of the vectors come in kinda messed up and you have to fix the vector points. I found this method to work a little better! I may very well be that after the adobe acquisition that will be even easier very soon!

Not actually as copy and paste work perfectly fine with illustrator to figma. All you have to do copy the work from illustrator and directly past on figma. Simple!
