Thanks for the clear explanation. When I am done with the lighting calculations in Dialux, how do I transfer the lighting layout back to Revit? I can draw the lighting layout manually in Revit, copying from the Dialux results. Is there a way of exporting the lighting layout back to Revit, so that I do not have to place the lights manually?

Hi Nelca! I tried to do the same with a Revit file that contains curtain wall, glazed roof and velux windows, to check how DIALux evo 9.2 works. Basically it doesn't read the elements like apertures, so it's not possible to calculate the rooms. I know that's a Beta version, but do you know if there is another way to import these elements correctly?

Great video. Very helpful. Whem I'm importing the ifc file dialux keeps closing. I have to select levels individually to make it import. Is there also a way to import multiple ifc files. Architectural and structural models for example.

Created 3d model in PDMS, converted to navis file and exported to .ifc with navistool ifc exporter, Dialux Evo 9.2 not accepting this ifc file - showing error that couldn't be have geometry, can u please suggest what to do?? Thanks in advance

@@MOHAMMEDAMJADB I found the information about IFC file and geometry: Geometry BREP - DIALux prefers geometries as BREP (Boundary Representation - boundary surface model, description of objects by their limiting surfaces). Evo comes along better with non-triangulated surfaces. The surfaces should be oriented correctly and form a closed volume, which unfortunately is not self-evident in many CAD programs. Multilayer components: These components should not be separated into individual objects. Elements in Solid Element operations: Yes, as BREP Elements with connections: Yes, as BREP Ceilings with inclined side surfaces: Yes, as BREP IFC terrain information: Yes, as BREP IFC plot of land: on project origin
