Honestly I like the fact that the experience is not individual. This it gives you more freedom for more pve playstyles, and for more pvp. In LoL it's annoying, you can barely do anything without it being considered trolling because you take someone else's resources. But in Hots, I can take xp from 3 different lanes, take camps, and not only that no one cares, it even benefits the team. And for pvp, you can just decide to not farm at all and go around killing people, if someone farms for you instead. You dont have to be stuck in a lane for like 10 minutes clicking in certain times on small people, you can just go around the map and try to kill whoever you want
Well, sometimes the teams are botlike, but when progresing rankeds, ppl are talking more and more :) Love to communicate with team, but im not gonna lie, toxic players are in there also as anywhere right... But compare to the years you mentioned, its much more harder now because there are only veterans from beta and new players, that are right away demoralized and spammed by "toxics" that are on the loosing train right now... hahaha. This game is so unforgiving and dependant on the teammates
you speak out of my heart, great summary. i really liked the point of staying constructive and swallow once pride instead of flaming feeders or noobs :D and i liked that you point out that every comp of heroes can work, as long as there is a strategy behind it.people forget that or are not smart enough to be flexible in their playstyles.
A lot of my friends and people that i play with are so quick to blame others, but if you stop yourself and ask how you can make a positive difference, it's much better than just talking shit lol. You can nicely ask others to play better or improve your own plays, much more constructive. Glad you agree about that haha :).

@@ravi030hunk Certain audio queues are important to hear but I understand that there's supposed to be a balance of game audio and voice for commentary purposes. Unfortunately the game audio was a little high, but I believe you can still hear some vocals. Most other vids aren't like that but it happens sometimes.
I'd argue that falstad is a hero that works well in any team on any map against any team. Gust is just that good, especially at 20. A good gust is an autowin button.
the team based aspect can feel super satisfying sometimes when you start syncing with your team. The psychic link effect. But I get what you mean, sometimes, you know that if there was just at least one carry mechanic, you could get your team over the line. It makes skill expression worth it
I also don't like this team based mechanic of experience but it's unavoidable. You simply can't give each hero in hots individual experience. If you do so, healers and tanks will simply stuck on level 1.
i loved to play this game some years ago, i am Brazilian, and as far i remember, it was kinda hard to find matchs, i dont remember why exactly. I stoped playing since i couldnt find very well these matchs: it was taking too long to find one. How is Heroes now? i stoped like, 7, 8 years i guess
It's fun! You can find games fast in the "ARAM" (all random all middle) mode; the queues are like 15 seconds. Quick match might take a couple minutes, and ranked even longer depending on your league.
I love this game but so many of the satisfying things in this game relies on synergy, team compositions and communications. Of course under all of this you need to also know how to play the basic game ; there's also a lot of minute macro decisions to make. So a random ranked is really really frustrating, I never could climb to diamond tbf...
i dont play league but i know it ofc. i dont know how every hero can carry in lol, because of item scaling? what do you think about the idea of a modus where every hero in hots would get all talents of the level. so every hero gets op. game would be crazy snowbally, but isnt it the same with lol and gold? love your vids btw :)
The game really has turned to trash. Did my placements for this season, 3 games, 1 afk each game that cost us the win. I got MVP in 2 of those games and still got put in Bronze 5 and now i cant get out of it because of the too frequent afk, bots and trolls. Its a rarity that you get good team mates at that level.
Yeah it does suck sometimes, if you're hardstuck bronze I recommend making a new account instead of trying to climb out of that, you earn so few rank points in low bronze it's literally a trap.
But on fundamentals: Better players win at up to 80% rates. It's just not true that people don't carry. And all roles can carry. But it's not done be 1vs5 the enemy team. But that's not how it's done but still it works without writing a single word in chat.
a lot of these complaints apply to every moba - if you have someone chain feeding in league or overwatch or whatever team based game you're almost certainly going to lose no matter what. The telling statistic is that HOTS players who smurf in HOTS can still achieve 70-80% winrates on new accounts even from solo Q. league players who smurf in league tend to see similar numbers, albeit a bit higher, like in the 80-90% range. while it is true that you can carry harder as an individual in league, the community perception that you cannot solo carry in hots is completely overblown, and frankly copium
As someone who has played a year straight worth of the game over 8 years, has 10000 levels across multiple accounts, and achieved master, it is my opinion that bad teammates make the game harder than good opponents. Especially when you average a 90% winrate on a main account, it will almost always fill the team with beginners to balance it. Since XP is collective, even one or two members of the team not doing their job destroy the entire dynamic (offlaner not offlaning, so another role does that job and the domino affect continues).
yeah, but heroes of the storm it's still batter then lol because it has no combative mentality you have no idea how many games got sabotage just because a 12-year bronze player didn't get his way and trash talk his team just because he got 12/4 once yes once after that he goes from 12/15 and goes AFK over a non-rank game riot doesn't even give a free skin so why give damn. and vengured ruin my lol set up so i Gussie i will finally check out other mobas anyway yeah, a dumb anti cheat who needs to run 24/7 in the background just for me to play a dumb game and my FPS goes from 100 to freaking 20 + black screen, bugging my pen tablet & USB mouse all this crap just to stop the big bad hackers & bots
Yeah, i've tried League so many times, DOTA 2, Arena of Valor and Smite and none of them come even close to comparing to Heroes of the Storm. HOTS is just so diverse, action packed and adventerous. The combos are endless, and so is the skill potential.
And looking at the result screen: The game was won with XP. Falstad was the MVP by far carrying the team so Butcher was able to stack and then win together with the Li Ming burst. So looking at it: For sure you can carry. Falstad showed it this game. And Diablo also showed of very well how not to carry as he really stopped combos. Ming, Butcher and Gazlowe did their job. Also this looks like Quickmatch? No healer? I really don't get the video because the background game and your talk contradict each other and also show the least skillbased (and most random) mode. So maybe that's why you said the game is so random? Well... play a draft mode and it's a lot less random. Still there are your teammates and enemies, of course. What I have to agree: HotS doesn't show well why / how you won. I think it still does it better than LoL DURING the game, with well seeable dead heroes, levels, buildings and camps. But the endscreen is not doing well. It tries but it really misses a lot of important stats that might help (like now much of the damage was negated by shields and healings (so usually not leading to a kill)). That would be super helpful to educate the Junkrats and Stitches about how much what damage means. Li Ming is a prime candidate for this as she can be a killer monster will deathblow after deathblow. Or just throwing orbs for meaningless damage.
Yeah, so imagine you are falstad You soaked XP very well but what happens when your buther is unbelievably braindead and takes no advantage? what happens if you have a li ming or gazlowe whos not doing their job? sadly, many players in hots are somehow very very very bad You can NOT CARRY solo in this game, thats a fact, you have no influence in dumbness or logic in other players heads, but you CAN OPEN gates for the win, your 4 randoms just need to realize the opened gates and take advantage to it. But sadly as i said, many players in hots are very bad
