How to Improve Interview Skills - 4 Reasons Why You’re Unsuccessful in Job Interviews // Are you having a tough time with interviews? Let me know what you think of this video!
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else trying to find out interview question and answer try Lomonting Interview Answers Mentor (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my colleague got excellent results with it.
I am getting interviews but not offers. In the past, it was a cinch to get an offer. For past 2 years I am struggling to get the right job interview. So sometimes I don't know one thing or I don't have one experience, and it's to the garbage can. I see this alot.
Not having the "technical skills" doesn't mean we can't do the job. Some technical skills can be taught, learn thru a proper training. Applying for jobs in -entry level- can help slowly transition for better future positions. With that been said, it can't be confuse when you apply for a job in -senior/advanced- level, in those type it really requires "experience and excellence knowledge ". I do say this because my best friend applied for a job position she never ever done before, luckily she land into a interview and for some reason they gave her that opportunity and for their surprise and even herself, she is GOOD at it. We all start from zero somewhere in our life, impossible to think we know everything. Ability to learn and passion to grow varied person to person.
Linda, I don't even know how to begin to thank you. A few days prior to my job interview, I binge watched a lot of your videos in order to prep myself. Although I had the right skill sets for jobs in the past, as an introvert, I always struggled with the interviewing process. I used your guidance and studied my butt off the night before. On the day of my interview, I had so much confidence, answered ALL of the questions well, and two of the questions that I asked stumped the interviewer (which she also mentioned were very great questions). I just got a call this morning and was told that I got the job! You are amazing! I will definitely utilize your services in the future and I'm going to recommend them to anyone that needs it as well. Thank you again!!!
What a successful story! Congratulation! I have been binge watching this channel recently, too, I have come to realization finally why I had many failures with my interviews in the past years even though i might would have been a perfect(?) candidate on paper at that time ^^ Thanks for sharing!
00:19 - You're lowering yourself in the presence of the employer. 01:54 - You think they control you. 02:47 - You're not tellling them why you're a good fit...every chance you get. 04:00 - You're 'technically' not a fit.
Kudos for the video content! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you thought about - Dinanlinson Face Blossoming Approach (do a google search)? It is a good one of a kind product for revealing the secret to master interviews and get the job minus the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my GF after a lifetime of fighting got astronomical success with it.
I love this Consultant Approach! An interview should be for the candidate to evaluate if the job and the company is right for them as much as it is for the interviewer to evaluate the candidate. I'm glad you're getting people in the right mindset to make a decision about if they want the job if it's offered!
I have to say I got an offer for the job I wanted after following your steps, especially the consultant approach. I also watch your other videos regarding preparing for an interview. .. THANK YOU... best advice 😊😊
Linda, this video is 10/10! Your first tip is spot on. I used to lower myself in job interviews and since I started working from myself I naturally moved in the consultant position and my confidence completely changed. I wish I had known this back in the day haha!
I watched this video last Tuesday for and interview I had last Wednesday. And I kid you not. I used all the tools from this video . TWO DAYS LATER I GOT THE JOB. IM ENTERING IN A NEW INDUSTRY THAT I HAVE LITTLE EXPERIENCE . IM SOO EXCITED AND GRATEFUL!!!!!!!
My interview went well today and also I got a replied email when I sent a thank you email to a partner and lawyer who interviewed me for their time today. Thank you for your valuable videos you have shared with us all.. ❣️❣️
Your first tip is spot on. I am a very confident and direct person in my life but I feel extremely inferior to employers, even though I am qualified for the position. I am working on changing that. It will just take some time to get over it.
GREAT TIPS! I've been offered every job I've ever applied for by simply applying methods you've mentioned..they really do work. I never had anybody teach me these methods, I had to learn them on my own, thank you for sharing
Hi, Linda, this is my first time visiting your channel and I must say that your videos have been a great help. It has helped with enhancing on my interviewing skills and have introduced some new ones. Thanks.
As always, the bomb!! Due to my cultural background----Haitian/ American, I often feel that I should always put the employer on a "pedestal". However, I'm realizing that this subconsciously plays with the belief I have in myself and doesn't allow me to display confidence; the same confidence and effectivness that is apparent in my work out put. Lesson: respect and being humble needs balance. Girl, I love your RU-vid vids lol. #womenontherise
You said in another video that even if you're not technically a good fit if you have confidence and show a good personality that you have a better chance at the job than someone who may be a better fit technically but does not show the confidence and personality needed for the job.
Thank you. I am not applying to a job, but to a high school. Your videos have been so so SO helpful! I want to thank your brilliant and inspiring soul. My confidence has certainly improved, which is excellent because I quite never knew this feeling.
A 'consultant approach' is truly awesome and I will utilize it for my next panel interview next week. Thank you Linda for all your videos. I've watched them many times as they are very practical and natural. Good job Linda!
Hello Linda thanks for advice i was that i lowering my self on job interview, but now tat i watch your guide i will apply it to myself, now i have confidence to mke this hppen thank you.
thank you Linda,i am really inspired by your work. i came across this webpage for my interview preparation but listening to you has awaken the inner desire to impact the world in my own little way, thank you linda. you are an inspiration
Thank you so much for sharing your video! During past interviews, I felt like I was lower than the interviewers so I came off as insecure, timid, voice shaking and would choke on answers. So I came across your videos to help me with my recent job interview. And it helped! I went into my past interview feeling calm and confident, viewing myself as a consultant that was there to sell myself. I know a lot of people say to "sell yourself", but it didn't really click until after watching a few of your interview videos. Good news, I just got a call for job offer! Thanks for your help again!
Hello Linda, I wanted to thank you for all your videos. I was able to combine several of your videos, prepared my self, created narratives and stories and landed my dream job. I was the consultant instead of just the applicant. I practiced practiced and practiced all my narratives about weaknesses, about the questions to ask , about the skills I have done and whether they will want to have the same results. My interview consisted of 6 people from different departments. I looked at everyone and gave them the solution to every question. Thank you again. The different approach made me confident. I am starting in 2 weeks and I can't wait!
All of your videos have been incredible helpful for me to realize the mistakes I have made in previous interviews. They have given me a different view on how to approach the interview questions, which is helping me build more coherent answers that better exemplify my skills. Thank you so very much for these videos!
Thank you! #1 is really hard to overcome as a recent grad - I know I have the skills but since I'm up against those with experience.. I feel like although I have the interview.. I don't actually have a chance. I got all my STAR questions down but really tying it into the role and having the confidence.. It's not that easy to do. Thanks Linda for your tips.
Hi Linda! I just want to say thank you! I learned a lot of things from your videos and now I know how to be confident in any job interview! I just had my interview today i could say I satisfactorily answered all their questions. I am so happy for myself but i could'nt do it without your help. thanks!
I just subscribed, I've been following you and I like the way you present each topic in natural and professional way. More power and thank you for sharing.
Love this video Linda! Such great tips for how to improve interview skills. I'm so glad that I no longer go to job interviews because they are not my forte. I wish you were around for when I was. Great job.
Thank you Linda! I watch many of your videos and it is very helpful and I feel so much empower as a candidate looking for a job!! I really appreciate your advice!
aidou97 I don't know if that's good enough. I've been on several interview panels where we selected our top candidates right after the interviews concluded. I think your best hope is to send an email before you leave the parking lot in the hopes they see it on their lunch break. Type up a basic draft before the interview and add a couple key points from the interview before you send it off. Be sure to have a email address to send it to before you arrive at the interview, or ask at the very end.
Greetings Linda. Noticed several times that your eyes glanced to the left and up when you where speaking. Not being critical but wondered what a potential interviewer might think about this eye movement?
Linda, thanks for your tips. Those are really helpful. I have a question. How do I answer to the interviewer about some technical skills that I do not have being that I did not apply for that position. The company came across me. Thank you.
Thank you Linda this is very helpful, right now I am in the process of learning how to interview to get that full time career opportunity, I just need more practice. I'll admit i'm not perfect at it right now. Any further tips on how to interview?
You should make a video about how to properly do online video interviews. I have to do a second one and I found the first one I did do was terribly hard my answers were good but the situations itself made me uncomfortable and I believe I could’ve been better but there is nothing to really base it on for me
any examples on how to do the part 2 in answering behavioural questions?? how to tie the answer to the position every time? will it be too much and iterative?
Hey Linda, do you have any suggestions for 'women restarters'...many of us take a career break for family reasons and then have a hard time getting back on track....especially if you left it as a higher position.. Iam personally facing this issue where it's hard to convince an employer why you left the job and now why you want to return after 2.5 years (in my case). the gap of 2 and half years is weighing heavy on my overall experience of 11 years..need help !
