If you know me then you know I am not a fan of the Sony "Premium" Sound System that is used in Ford's current vehicle line up, particularly the one in the ST. The system to me has no real bass response and lacks midrange. The biggest problem is the treble response which is very artificial and lacks detail. So I was super happy when I came across a way to improve the sony sound system in the simplest way.
Last time I showed you how to unplug the center speaker to open up the treble and midrange and this time around I am improving the bass response. The stock sony subwoofer to me is a mess and this simple mod of filling the subwoofer enclosure with poly-fill will improve the bass response.
Doing these simple mods will help me to hold off on upgrading my sony system just a bit longer. Sooner or later the stock ford sony subwoofer and sound system will be completely gutted out, but I will hold off for now.
