Bad advise about staying in Race A or B. Race A (typically) is a no DR, no SR race meaning your outcome has no impact to you DR/SR rating. Those races are more for fun... Also avoiding C is a mistake. My DR improved the greatest in Race C races. They've also been the most fun so far. In race B, as it's shorted makes qualifying everything as they can be harder to overtake in or to catch up if you do have an off.
Some good info here. A lot of guys need to take the time to learn the tracks. A couple of times I've started a race in P2 or P4 and crashed all by myself or been punted into the Barry R for a nice 3 sec penalty. But resist that urge to quit. Find myself down in P14., I shake it off don't overdrive the car and finish the race in P5 just by turning good laps. This has helped me move up fast. 1st thing you have to realize is you can't always win. Starting P10, set a goal of trying to finish 3 or 5 spots higher. If you do it that's a win! Big thing I see is guys mess up and you go around them and when they catch up to you they ram the crap out of you cause they can't get around you. Don't be that guy.
I'll never understand the people who wait 15 minutes for the match to start, go through most of the laps, spin out or get in last then just leave. Like on average like 5 people leave every race I play. I always finish them even if people are being toxic.
I want to thank u again, I’m getting pole position now and converting them into race victories and now finding myself in the top 5 most of the time now, never thought I’ll b winning online in gt, I watched many online races for years and this my first time playing gt or any racing games of this kind. Thanks 🙏 u again, definitely subscribing to ur channel, blessed.
Thanks for that. Cleared up a few questions i had. I’ve been playing since day one but I’ve only done about 25 online races. I’ve got S rating for clean races but had trouble getting out of drive rating d. Now i know what to concentrate on :)
Don't worry about ratings, race to have fun and whatever happens happens. If you chase rankings it's a path to being miserable, sucks the fun out of the game. Also the penalties, dr points and people punting you are all out of your control
Just got gt7 and had a blast in my first 2 races but the guy i was battling with me bombed me every time from behind. I eventually had to like stop way before the turn to let him crash to eventually get by.
Absolutely. Especially spending some time in the time trial. Watching the replays of the top ranked guys, studying their lines. It helped me a lot. But it's different went the actual race starts, I have to tell myself to stick to my line and not be too aggressive and finish every race.
Race A is only for building sportsmanship, run your own race. If you need to practice the track for an hour before racing you are not ready for online.
Hey man, great video. Now I feel like I can understand the DR system a bit more. Also I was thinking of getting a wheel and some pedals soon for these types of games. Do you think In GT7 and other racing games that the wheel and pedals help a lot in comparison to controller? I just find being easy on the throttle and getting smooth driving lines is hard with a controller but would be way easier with the wheel and pedal setup. Only thing I’m worried about is how the pedals feel and if you can feel how much pressure you’re applying or not lol. ( was looking at the thrustmaster T300RS wheel and pedals)
@@beyondthepedal I’ve heard lots of mixed reviews on the Logitech wheels, and same goes for the thrustmaster but since I’m ballin on a budget and the t300 seems to work a bit better with ps5 and PC I figured the t300 might be my best option. But hey maybe a wheel review or ranking video by you might help, and maybe I just gave you a video idea 😂 cheers man
I found i got slower when I got the wheel and pedals for a good while before I got used to it, then I started getting consistently faster. It's a thing of adapting, really.
very hard to do so if people have a one track minded they run you off the road to be in front they run you off the road to make the turn or your careful around corners so how do i get the rank up to a+ or s i am stack at DB the race with the lowest respect for your fellow player is GR3 to day 17:30 = 2023/02/18 south africa time
So at the end of the race, you can see if your DR and SR have increased and decreased. The issue is, if you don't play for a while, your DR definitely goes down.... very frustrating as I've been away and have dropped down to D!
@@beyondthepedal I spent yesterday getting myself almost to class c. My last 2 races I got spun on the first corner ans then bullied into 16th ans I'm at the bottom of D again. No severe penalties for the offenders it seems, their Sportsmanship rating was S......
@@beyondthepedal got up to DR C after what seemed like forever. Had a single clean race and the DR progress bar was already a third full! Qualifying down at 11/12 now, mixed in with the lunatics and the quitters. Going to try to get to B asap.
For me, it's trying to keep the car as close to real possible.. but yes, minor assists like Brake balance, TCC and ABS all help. But track knowledge is definitely key, especially corner speed and racing lines
