Wow, what a terrific video! I love how you used the wisdom of a master mixer and then immediately showed the examples of before and after when using that advice. It really let you see what Warren was talking about. As a video producer, I loved how you put that all together. Just a great job!
Genius, Sanjay C! Listening to the before and after was most enlightening! You guys are dynamite together! I wish you would produce something together - the combo would be a bomb!
I think that's as close to a perfect video that I'll find. A professional guy sharing years of learned experience openly and honestly, then hearing audio examples to put the theory into the real world. Thanks to the both of you for making this happen. 👍
This was an absolute gem! A down to earth conversation you could easily follow, along with real live examples of what you were talking about, perfect in every way!
Great! I find Sanjay’s format concise and direct and Warren’s content and advice very valuable. In 15 minutes you’ve covered a lot of practical tips. Surprised you brought up A.I. tools but glad you did. I’ve been using Nectar 3+ lately for mixing vocals and Ozone 10 for mastering - and while not the same as an experienced mixing engineer - they deliver good results for a relative low cost. I can also learn mixing techniques from seeing the results of Nectar and Ozone 10 to better understand how they work.
My two biggest inspiration producers in one video, with tons of amazing advice. And the last spitfire appeareance. Amazing Wednesday in perspective. Have a good day
I have been following your channel for quite a while now, and you having this guy on was a treat! I have just sub’ed to his channel and found some great gems on there! I am just starting out as a hobbyist (for now) and have invested in some great Trumix Budget Studio Monitors and a Minifuse from Arturia + Logic Pro as my go-to DAW of choice (that I have had for a long time now) so building a pretty solid foundation for myself going forward! Thanks to you & Warren Huart 👍
🙌🏽🙏🏽❤️🔥🎶@warrenhuart @producelikeapro it was an honor to be at Spitfire studio, again and for the last time🤯! Thank you for having @Sanjayc and me over! It’s always so sooo special growing this friendship and hearing your stories, sharing ours and hearing the valuable advice you have for our viewers! Have an incredible summer with Kasia and the kids!!!!🥳💫 We will see you soon!🥳🥳
He had a moment where he talked about the ‘hair’ on a bass cutting through. and since we solo the track, we want to EQ it out. but when I A/B my EQ change, i barely hear a difference. so it was cool for him to relate it to the sound of that snare ringing out, helping the snare stand out. i’ll never trim the hair on my bass again! really insightful thing to hear
When I click on a video, it often says „Community contributions aren‘t available on this device“. Also in some of your videos, Sanjay. I have no idea why and what that means.
@@Producelikeapro no doubt about that and even though im also from an indian background the diversity of indian food you find just within the area of London you would have to go across India to find it. is it the same in the LA region or the US generally ?
@@mystikrebel1089 no, not as good in LA. We were in London a few weeks ago and ate at 1947, a truly amazing Indian Restaurant in Fitzrovia! We ate there 3 times in a week, it's THAT good!
You've been hyping this video in your others videos and I was like meh it can't be that great.... Man was I wrong. you really did this justice with the immediate examples and demos. Great job with the questions prompting these examples as well. Extremely well done this cleared up a couple questions I had also. True pillar to the community, Both you and Warren. Many thanks
Thanks, Sanjay, for going back to producing. While I like the reviews, I really appreciate your tutorials... would like to see more of this! Thanks. For vocals, I like the combo of Nectar/Neutron.
Hey Sanjay I had a dillema, I plan to buy an e drum set but I am going to be moving for uni in 2 years So do you think I shld go for the e drums or get something like a maschine/MPC
Hey Sanjay! I've been following you for some time now I was just wondering if you would let me mix your vocals for you. Not regularly or in exchange for anything at all I'm just wondering if there might be some room to get some additional clarity and body in there that you might like. Again, this is not based off of this one video and I'd be happy to share everything with you if you end up liking the results so you can use it in the future. - a fan
12:48 there was an old interview with No Doubt when they want to Jamaica to produce an album. There was a point where the bassist was being taught by all these reggae artists how to play the bass the way they do to produce THAT SOUND and it was burned into my young mind lol. They were repeatedly just telling him to stop plucking so hard to the point where it was hilarious😋 anyone who has played punk, metal, hardcore or something similar knows how unfamiliar playing soft can be🤣
I'm glad Soothe 2 wasn't around to ruin the original Muse "Origin of Symmetry" album. I like the edge of those songs and you don't hear that often anymore.
