I have done this routine just three times and I can see and feel the improvement of mi turn out =) I will continue to do it. It's amazing!!! Thank you very much for sharing it!!!
I am SO SO happy that I found your channel. I am a figure skater and have been having a lot of hip and knee pain. This video has already helped. Thank you!!
The two angles are amazingly helpful! I’m am beyond grateful for these videos especially during this time. You’re keeping a lot of us going. Much love 💕
What a unique workout, I loved doing this! I think it's so important that you included the flexibility part as well, ballet teachers often miss this and think students are not holding their muscles enough if they are not completely turned out
Hi! My mom is a Mexican Dancer and she loves your videos, but she doesn't speak English at all, I tried to add Spanish subtitles to your video, but you doesn't have activated the option for the community contribution. I hope you'll consider the option so, all Mexican and Spanish speakers can learn with your videos. Thanks so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hello dear Mexican friend, I've been to Mexico and it is one of my most favourite countries, it's super beautiful. Of course, I'll switch on this option for you. Maybe you'll be interested to know that on May 25th we'll be having a mutual class with Elisa Carrillo Cabrera at 18:00 Moscow time. Come to my Instagram with your mom, family and friends. It will be partly in Spanish. See you! 😇
I did not feel the sensation of the turnout anyway and thanks to your exercises a few days per week now I can feel my turnout. Thank you very much for making these exercises available for us 😊
After 11 months, I tried this first time at gym, and found very helpful, challenging, weirdly so much fun (because it’s challenging), and it was great to watch the demonstration of our wonderful dancer. Thank you so much for uploading this !
Thank you so much Maria. Your ballet, body and everything are so beautiful. Especially, you speak perfect English that makes my learning so much easier. 💖🌹
You are my favourite ballerina. Please keep going. I am so happy for this video. 😍❤️💕💃🇨🇿 Btw. I from Czech Republic so I understand your Russian language. Sorry for my English guys. 😅😅
Hellooo, as you did some exercises I thought I heard some cracking, and I was wondering if it was coming from your hip. I'd like to know because I'm a dancer and I have snapping hip syndrome, and lately I'm struggling with it. Thanks for this amazing video by the way!❤
I personally think that you should try to do those exercises daily + one rest day, but if you don't have time maybe try every two days so like you said around 4 times a week - I hope this is helpful ~
Mobility exercises can and should be done everyday if you want to see fast improvements. On the other hand there are some flexibility exercises which are more taxing on the muscles, and the routine is moderately long. A rest day is also advised if you don't get plenty of sleep. For this reason, I recommend anything between 4 and 7 days a week. 5 is really good, 6 if you get good rest, 7 if you get excellent rest. If you're not a professional, anything over 8 hrs of sleep is really good. If you're a professional and workout several hours a day, 8 hrs are sufficient but not great. Also depends on age. If you're already fully grown up, your body has the best regeneration ability. If you're not grown up and over 30 you definitely need your body to rest for longer. In summary: 5x a week is a safe bet.
Hello, 😊 I am a little bit frustrated because I have a very few turnout,😭 I cannot even open at 180 degrees. How many often should I do this to obtain better turnout
Hello Adriana, just noticed your message. In my experience as a teacher for 10 years, this great exercises sometimes need to be supplemented with a routine suited to your own body and its natural alignment to yield optimal results. If you need help figuring out how to best adapt them to your body, I’ll be happy to help. 😊
Hi! En dehors has never been my strong point, and neither it is flexibility. I'm going to be doing this video and other stretching videos Maria has to see if I see any improvement before I begging my classes again. I'll share my experience until I go back to classes! Day one: this hurted a little, I have lost the little flexibility I had so it's been quite difficult
This helps soooo much thank you very much! Would love to have some tips for turns and pirouettes if you could and your abs routine also would be greeaaat Wish you the best i love your calm vibe, sending love frome france
Amazing, but can you answer this question that I've been wondering - If we walk naturally with our feet pointing more or less forwards and our knees and hips naturally follow this process - how is it good for people who do ballet to train and train for a ' turnout ' where their feet are pointing to the sides? Is this good for their ankle, knee and hip joints? I can see how dedicated dancers are, but wouldn't it be better for their bodies to dance in a natural position and not with their feet turned out at a 90 degree angle? I think it looks good but is it good for you? Thanks.
This is why these muscle exercises are important for your turnout, because otherwise you can sprain your knees and ankles. As for the turnout- ballet isn‘t ballet without it, otherwise it would be contemporary dance. All the ballet steps are based on turnout
Hey Masha, any tips for having a good turnout while standing??? Everything looks fine when i sit or lay down with legs in plié. While doing floor exercises I have a good turnout… but when i stand for example at the barre and i have barely 45 degrees of turnout… when i hold my back, abs and tailbone properly :(
Excesivo poco peso corporal o falta masa muscular.
I hurt my right leg a long time ago i can barely stretch it now; but i keep trying and dancing. does anyone have the same problem ? ischio muscles strain or elongation
I do! After I did oversplits without warming up ...almost 10 years ago (yikes!) I injured my right hamstring and it still hurts. I can't do anything with my right leg without warming up now, and it's still painful :(
I injured my left knee about two years ago and it has never been the same. It’s very frustrating and quite scary if I’m being honest, but I’ve always thought that one of beauties of ballet is learning how to work through adversity and make something very difficult look effortless. I try to keep that in mind whenever I feel like negative thoughts are getting the best of me
Hello, Melody! My own personal injuries and the opportunity to help others who have come to me in similar situations as a ballet instructor, have given me some good tools. I’d love to help. How long has it been? What have you tried? The biggest take away from such an experience for me has been that ballet is not bound to lead to injury, compromised technique is. As my Russian pedagogue says: “Ballet, either is done right, or it can send you to hospital”! Let me know if I can help. 🙏🏼✨
