One thing I know for sure: Your videos will last the test of time. Lots of other ballet videos and ballerinas on youtube. But in 100 years from now, people will be watching yours, still - not anyone else's. Your technique and discipline and care and kindness is timeless.
I feel so blessed that I get to “train” with such a wonderful, real, beautiful ballerina like you. This would have been unheard of a decade ago. I sure wish we’d had this gift when I was growing up! I could have maybe been almost as good as you if I’d had these videos to watch after my classes! LOL, I’ll keep trying with your encouragement. I love your videos and look forward to improving. Thank you, Maria!
Straight back has been the most useful hack. I had been stretching kind of regularly bending forward as far as I could without noticeable improvements. Today I tried this way and Lord... I'm already noticing! Thanks so much for your patience and help 🙏🏼
Im pretty flexible for someone who isn't in any sort of sport, dance, or anything like that so this is very very helpful because i have been wanting to learn newer/advanced stretches & let me just say this is perfect! Really felt my whole body get a good stretch!
I am surviving these days with the help of your Barré classes and this particular stretching. I want to thank you so much for sharing your dedication and your talent to this art form and I appreciate your time making his videos. congratulations on being able to go back to the theather and performing💐. thank you
Hi, Maria, I'm a big fan of yours. You have the most beautiful lines I ever seen. And I really appreciate what you're doing for the dance community during this difficult times. I love your videos and I will love if one of this days you would be able to do a video to improve balance. Thanks for everything
Мария, спасибо! Очень полезные растяжки и Ваши комментарии к деталям, касающимся их исполнения. Все каждый день не получается делать, но частично - да!
Maria Khoreva you are an amazing human being! Your videos make me so happy! Thanks so much! Could you please consider making a ankle strengthening video! Stay safe! :)
Thank you so much for this video Maria! We have been waiting for this awesome stretching video! Hooray! Thanks again! Sending hugs from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 🤗💙🙏🤗
@@ndjdjd887 it's to strengthen the tendons around the ankle so that muscle or bone damage is less likely to occur. My ankles are extremely weak so I focus on exercises that help me not sprain them.
Hi Maria, I love your workout videos and stretches - they really help push me to improve my flexibility. Would you consider doing a video on front developpes?
Thank you Maria. I’d like to ask one question though. The period of time that stayed in one stretch position is the amount of time you usually do it? Or you tried to make it faster for a shorter video? If so, how long would say you stay in each position?
Another great workout!Thank you so much Maria.I'd love to make a suggestion. If you would find this easier, you could just record the video and then voice over it in Russian and English so that you won't have to explain twice, and also it will be a whole English video and a whole Russian not a mixed one.Of course this is just a kind suggestion, just in case it seems easier for you.your videos are always amazing no matter what!Lots of love!
Yes and it’s really nice to be able to do the stretches without trying to read subtitles at the same time! I love the way she does it now, but I just like to listen to her speaking both languages haha
Thank you so much for this video! Your tips helps a lot and some stretches of you are a great inspiration... So grateful that you give us so much workouts and some classes. This motivate me to work even harder with my body even in this time! Your workouts are hard in a good way to improve daily! Thank you!
This was an amazing video and I feel super stretched out now! I do have a small question... 9:25 during this stretch somehow I can't get my back leg to touch the ground, even though my knee can. I can see that Maria has her femur bone/thighs slightly off the floor, but my leg is a long way to the ground (around 7 to 10 centimeters). Is it because I have an inflexible hip flexor and how can I improve that?? thanks so much!!
stretch out your hip flexor in a half-split / lunge ! bend your front knee at a 90 degree angle and extend your back leg straight behind you and "lean" into the ground by pushing your (whatever leg is back) butt/hip forward. look up any splits-stretch video and itll give you an example of what i'm trying to say :) itll help with that! also stretch your quads
Maria, you can turn on translator on the three dots in upper right side of you tube so you don't have to repeat what you have just done for those of us that aren't bilingual.
I’m all for bilingual learning but it would be nice if you made 2 videos 1 in Native tongue and 1 in English. Would be easier for both of us. But I want you to know I encourage you teaching both of us. ❤️
can you do some leg tone exercises :(( my left leg is a bit skinny than my right leg, does that i mean i should do a lot more on my right and do less on my left?
Hello! I know this is super late and you probably figured it out but I think when doing ballet it is better to exercise both sides evenly. I notice that the body eventually becomes more symmetrical, though I don't know why!
