All good stuff… however don’t you think you’re skipping the most important conversation about shenfa and kinetic linking? I find outside of china this is the most missing aspect. People often are good at making breath noises and focusing their eyes into short bursts with contrast. However most People short cut their shenfa thinking it will be faster… while pro Chinese athletes commit further into torso rotations and have a better coordinated explosive power from the foot on the floor to the hands/weapon. After all the classic term is 眼手身法步meaning hands and eyes coordinate and there is a relationship … while the torso and the stance coordinate and these have a strong relationship. I think the place to start in terms of power would be a discussion about how the power needs to come from the stance and torso method and not shortened… this is 70% of your power and balance
