Unlock your kua and groin flexibility and improve your Tai Chi practice with this effective warm-up stretch. Learn the correct technique and alignment for maximum results. Perfect for both beginners and advanced practitioners, this stretch will help you open up your kua and increase your overall flexibility.
Many people make the mistake of trying to go low too quickly, but in reality, it is much more effective to start high and gradually work your way down to your limit. By keeping your weight over your feet, engaging your core, and feeling the stretch around your kua, you can achieve great results without putting unnecessary strain on your body. This stretch will help improve your "Snake Creeps Down" movement and improve your flexibility and overall Tai Chi practice.

This is one of the most important taiji videos I've ever seen, this video deserves more views, the majority of taiji people would benefit from it.

Trying to get better at being more concise and to the point with each video. That's the paradox, try to be concise teaching something that's supposed to represent something boundless 😆

After decades of studying Martial Arts, occationally from Masters of Wing Chun, your instruction is the best I've every exerienced! You provide so much relevant information and instruction on how to develop internal energy, that it is inspirationally exciting! I have been practicing your video on "Confidence Begins in Your Feet" as well as your other videos, and find all of them to be outstanding! Although I am in very good shape, I have had a host of Doctors, and tests performed on me, that have been unable to understand what is causing my declining balance. I am confident that your instructional videos will evenually, with a lot of dedication and hard work , rectify my balance mystery. Thank you! Do you think that purchasing a Sadhu Nail Board with copper nails to stand on, would be helpful? I seem to be loosing a bit of feeling in my feet as well.

Thank you so much! I will do a series on balance and stability and highlight some of the key things I've worked on with my students who have had balance and stability issues. I'm not familiar with the nail boards but I do know that my students who have peripheral neuropathy in their feet do have balance issues because they don't have the sensory feedback from their feet that is necessary for balance.

Thank you for illuminating the world of Tai Chi in such an exciting , understanding manner! The people at Aiping Tai Chi are fortunate to have you there. It was very nice of you to take the time to answer my question so thoroughly. I will purchase a nail board to see if it can be of any help. In the meantime I look forward to viewing more of your inspiring videos!

Thank you so much ❤️🙏 That's my goal. I'm not good with theory and the ancient references used don't have any meaning to me so I come up with references from my life that help me better understand the practice and I share the discoveries I come up with :) They are usually quite random 🤣

🙏♥️ I'm so glad the video is helpful. Yes, one foot is at 45 degrees and is meant to show you to follow in a mirror view and you should practice both sides.

When doing the squat stretch, should I only go as low as I can with heels on the ground?
@AipingTaiChi
@AipingTaiChi 8 месяцев назад
Yes, only as low as heels on the ground, bent knee aligned over the toes, weight fully distributed from heel into toes, and body upright.
