There is no substitute for physical Ram. Up to and including Windows 7 it was recommended that your paging file size should be 1.5 x your physical ram. Post Windows 7 OS are handled differently and managed by the OS. Page file operations are limited by the data transfer rate (speed) of the mechanical drive, and can in now way speed up actual ram. Adjusting or increasing the size of a paging file does not necessarily increase your Ram or speed up your computer. It can actually slow down file and program operations by increasing too many frequent paging requests . General rule of thumb is to stick with Windows recommendations.

Because you're doing this using disk, the boosted 'ram' won't be as fast as if it were hardware ram. Because you'll have to wait for your disk. What's the slowdown factor? Is it noticeable?

i ever used both physical and virtual ram the fact is 5/10 gb of physical ram is used and 2/10 gb virtual ram is also used in the same time so the use of physical ram is more like priority for the system compared to virtual ram

@@Rolpro_fans i recommend to use this setup because Ive been using it for years and it really makes difference one thing to be notice that your storage Will get hot as soon as the workload reach 50 50 ( checked on mem reduct software ) so do this on your own risk in my case iam using hard disk so ITS not a big deal with temp

I did this but as I went to restart, I received the blue screen 😢 I wonder why because I’ve only had this computer since Aug 2023, I don’t even use the computer much. Please explain, your instructions is easy to understand, maybe it’s something else. On Microsoft website it says that the blue screen is from a hardware or software issue.

Be very carful when changing these settings. There is a reason why, if you want to change or increase your RAM Random Access Memory. You use a new computer chip and not change these factory default settings. These settings are for people who do coding and software / hardware development. Not to increase RAM or make your computer run faster. After changing these settings your computer will automatically re-set to factory default. Why? Because it is meant for your system to run at optimum performance. Don't believe me? Go back and see if your settings were saved. Or if they went back to original settings.

I did it and it went back to original settings not factory reset but that was because I didn't calculate it right. After using the correct math I loaded tarkov and it's never been better

Thanks for the clear explanation! I tried the solution but when i restarted the PC i got this message "The instruction at referenced memory at ***********. The memory could not be written". The PC restarted fine and everthing seems OK but i do not know if the solution is working or i have to reexecute it again?

It doesn't increase your RAM, it just utilizes space to make your virtual memory run smoother is all. You have to add RAM chips to increase RAM. But I will say this, it definitely helped and I say thankyou for sharing this very useful tip.
