How to Increase Your Skills Quickly in Rune Factory 5! Infinite Crafting & More Tips!

I’ve played RF4 and RF4S so I expect there to be a lot of grinding in this game as well and what I learned from one fellow gamer who had played the Rune Factory series is that the best way to grind out your skills is to have a daily set of tasks that can help increase your Rune Points and talk to everyone in town every day so that not only your friendship level increases but one of your skills will increase as well. There’s also an accessory that you can make that helps grind out your skills so make sure to get your crafting skill up to a high level.

For clarification: When you craft and don't have enough RP, you only use 1/4th your HP, and so long as you have enough max RP to craft the number of the recipe you're going to get the maximum XP for it. So, you can craft up to three times total over your RP limit before eating something to heal if you don't want to use the Formulade bug. That's also why the Formulade setup works the way it does; 1/4th of 1 is rounded down to 0, so you lose 0 Hp. EDIT: For the status effect weapon, upgrade it with a Scrap Metal + to make it deal 1 damage, so you can smack them around that much more before killing them.

I lucked out and found a heart crystal VERY early on in a random chest. Shipped it, now Heinz and Lucas sell it as part of their level 2 inventory.

Wow so much to learn. I have never played Rune Factory but have pre-ordered and looking forward to playing it in a week's time.

I'm making progress in rf4 while waiting for rf5 to get here and using many of your rf5 tips in that game. Using cheap turnip seeds for crafting and gifts is working great in that game too :)

Dude you're hilarious. Also, I like the failed recipe technique you use. I've been doing the upgrade with turnip seed technique, since that's what I did in Rune Factory 4. However, I like your idea more, it seems like it takes less time and resources. I also liked your furniture video too. Thank for the the tips. As a long time Rune Factory fan I'm super excited to finally be able to play Rune Factory 5.

Got super lucky and Heinz was selling the heart crystal for me in his rotating stock before the end of spring of my first year. Time to grind my crafting skill to get that pendent!

Well this was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thank you so much.

For those who can't exploit Formuade mining all the ore veins and blue Rune Crystal in any given area,Saving and then Reloading will re-spawn all the ores/crystals in question allowing infinite mining for materials to be shipped and made able to be purchased from the corresponding shop as well as free FP recovery in order to continue leveling whatever crafting skill you're lacking in and or leveling spells with some degree of ease. One thing we should try to discover that would be immensely helpful is if Terry gives both the Star and Heart pendants in such case as both passives can be passed onto one accessory allowing for utility without having to use either of the pendants themselves continuously.

Definitely helpful even for someone who has played rf4! The weapon skills definitely is somewhat different like the punching bag. Super cool I'm so excited! I am really excited for this game. I saw it in the Trailer from the Nintendo direct and preorder rf5 limited Edition. And when i saw that rf4 was on the switch i directly bought it so that i can know what i can expect and after playing it i know that i will not regret it.

This definitely helped with me chemistry I only recently started for the first time so I don't have a lot of high quality resources.

I wish I knew this back in RF4 but received some tips from one of the livestream chat. I tend to discover things for myself only use walkthrough if I'm stuck.

I have played rune factory 4 for 2 minutes so I can get the save file bonus in the new game. This is my favorite series that I have never played, thank you for these videos!

I remember mentioning most of these in your streams at one point. I did NOT know about that throwing glitch though. Yo. That's hype. Where did you hear about that one? So that accessory you made is a Sun Pendant that only looks like a Heart Pendant. You were getting standard skill experience this whole video. Accessory and Shoe crafting work differently in this game than they do in RF4. I found that out the hard way when my Stay-Up Ring didn't prevent yawning. I know a lot of these little things don't matter that much-but this one you might want to consider fixing. You can actually do 4 actions once you run out of RP. Each will do 25% of your HP in physical damage to you, meaning you can get 3 additional crafts (of multiple amount) before you have to restore. Using this, and the fact that you don't need recipe bread if you know a recipe ahead of time, it's possible to power-level your chemistry to 64 for Greenifier + on the day you get it. Also, you can get a ridiculous amount of Runes if you use Soil Dragon Crystals before a harvest. (Those will keep your whole field of Pineapples alive too, by the way.) I don't know why, but if you lock the number at + 3 with Wind Crystals and use Soils every harvest you will get either a Rune or Runey on each Pineapple about 95% of the time. Letting your monsters harvest and then just running through all the Runes is pure catharsis. That and very, very loud. Pumpkins are a decent poor-man's substitute for Pineapples early game, too.

You are a genius I had no idea there was a way to cheese the crafting, oh there is a possible other way to obtain the heart pendant, not sure if it was ever patched but, supposedly if you gift Terry around the time he's level 3 he'll give you a heart pendant.

Hey, Josh! I love these videos! Super helpful. I was wondering how many things you could craft onto an item? My thought was this: could I add the heart pendant to the star pendant to get those buffs together THEN use object x to reverse the effects of stuff I use later and then use that apple item you talked about in the other video on the same pendant to put all those positive buffs on one item?

i didnt realize the heart crystal was rare cause I somehow got it in the first few days in game and just stuffed it into my storage box, nice!

About Heart Pendant and love crystals. They can come to buy in rotating stock of Heinz, i'm not sure about the price of the crystal, but the pendant costs to me 250000. Also, i'm not sure exactly where, but i received one crystal at entrance area of lava caves, very early on, when i triyng to tame red.

Such a helpful tips, thank you! I would like to know more about soil, like how soil quality and HP effect the crops. From what I understand, soil quality effect the number of the harvested crops and the crops will die if HP reaches 0, right? I'm not so sure. So, please tell us more about soil :)

Personally i just get quality 10 turnip seeds and use the seeds to upgrade cheep weapons and armor, you get about 20 to 25% exp per upgrade. You don’t really risk passing out or need much set up and its straight forward. I find generally chemistry to be easy to level sense most recipes have a cheap high level recipe that you can craft in bulk and sell. I generally level it along my crop seeds.

this wasnt mentioned in the video but you can actualy spam abonch of different magics at once, allowing for speedy casting thats pretty broken in actual battles

You can use the super failed dishes and scrap metal+ in the trick and it will mostly convert back. You can also use the fail results in other crafts. So if you want to do all the crafts in a day, you don't need to use turnip seeds every time

Ahhh I used the tutorial in rf4 because time doesn't pass and leveled my throwing skill all the way to 80..took like 2 hrs XD And your guides are awesome btw! I'm currently binge watching them because I just got rf5 the other day. Thank you 😊

You can use the rosary to make monsters disappear and respawn quickly :)

Interestingly chopping wood levels up ground element and mining increase wind element and using the brush on animals in your barn increases love so does giving gifts for love I believe

I’m on Version 1.0.1 and I go to bed before 6:00 A.M. and I can level sleep up just remember any time before 6 in the morning and you’re golden.

To add on the punching bag trick: at least with dual blades, you get more experience from locking onto the center bag and doing repeated charges attacks.

I just want to see the villager's reaction when they see you T-bagging the side of a cliff trying to get your throwing lvl up.

You don't need L10 Formuade. Grape Liqueur works at level 1 and it's cheap to make. From what I can tell it's the RP% modifier that bugs the crafts. Edit. Tried hot milk, didn't work. Made a video of it on my channel.

Formuade glitch isn't working on the EN release version 1.01, even with a level 10 (-100% HP) Formuade, my HP is only lowered to 300? My only guess is that it was patched, no idea what/if anything else it could be other than a patch.

Back in Rune Factory 3, Siren was a post-game boss. The fact that they don't seem to have adjusted her stats or her unique material's effects to account for the fact that she's a regular enemy now amuses me.

Question I'm not sure how to word: why dint i get a level 10 dish if I add a level 10 herb to a level 1 turnip for pickled turnip? Does my cooking level matter or is their something special about the hot hot fruit recipe?

I used the object X for so long. That's so upsetting. At least it still works on enemies.

what i did to poor Terry was give him all those failed recipes as gifts while I was trying to get the heart pendant, he would not have had to die if he only gave me what I wanted.

You can actually get the heart pendant from Terry. You have give him homemade items like shields or pickled turnips. Every 5 times you give him something homemade; he gives you a random accessory. You can do this multiple times but you have to make sure you give him something homemade

My luck is insane then I got the love Crystal before the volcano dungeon but I forgot where I got it. Probably a chest

In RF4S I wear the heart pendant unless I'm in a serious fight.

anyone know why the weapon skills trick increases my Love skill when I use the Bear Claws fists, but doesn't increase element skills of element weapons like the Ice Hammer didn't increase water? The Bear Claws are basic, no upgrades or added Love attack to it

I hear that RF5 has something like an arena which is probably similar so Sharance Maze.. may i know if the monster level also scales crazy high like in the tens of thousands like in RF4 if u want to? maybe a making to increase level?
