About the Coach:
Kadour Ziani was born in France in 1973 from Algerian parents. He grew up in a very poor neighborhood, but he avoided the trouble of the streets by immersing himself into a variety of sports. He played basketball, volleyball, was a professional soccer goalkeeper until 2002, and he still competes in track and field as a high jumper. Since 1997, he has been part of the Slam Nation, a multicultural group of high-flying athletes who travel around the world performing spectacular dunking demonstrations. Kadour has a remarkable 56 inches vertical leap and has become a legend on youtube. His specialty dunks are the 360, 360 cobra and double windmill. He also has the amazing ability to jump up and and kick a ball off from the rim.

When I study how to dunk, I look only at the best, like Kadour, Dre Baldwin, Steve in Orlando.. but I like Kadour because he covers the flexibility dynamic which nobody talks about. U can't reach a 40'' vertical if u injure yourself and don't stretch, like someone said.

Where does Dre Baldwin fit in that? He's got the most basic vertical ever.

@@slipknoterman He was a pro baller though and has been in our shoes doing air alert and jump manual, he had pro trainers and did also have a nice vertical, above average one for a pro.

Flexibility has nothing to do with injury prevention or vertical jump. It's all about mobility/stacking your joints/technique/arm swing and power(strength+speed) also genetics play a huge role as well.

@@davidsenay2811 I dont want to be too flexible when I jump, but u need to stretch under your arms and feel mobile. Kadour would use flexibility to build muscles that arent usually developed.

@@wesley1384 He's not qualified to teach somebody to jump higher. He's just genetically gifted, knees over toe guy tries to use him as a sale pitch for his program which is great for strengthening knees and mobility in the ankles/hip.. however, it won't make you an elite jumper. You can train to jump higher but certain people are just born with the ability to jump extremely high without any training and he is one of them. So what works for him won't work for the average person , when it comes too jumping , jumping is the best way to increases your vertical. Also lighter you weigh, and more strength and speed you develop will build you the most vertical.(along with plyo work or just jumping all out on a small rim)

A legend of dunking. Without him, tfb and pro dunking as a whole would have never gotten to the point it is now.

Common Sense he's a Legend in dunking, he knows what he's talking about. flexibility is important if you can prevent injury your body will let you get there
