*This is my second DeWalt circular saw **MyBest.Tools** I sold my 18 volt and use the money to help purchase this 20 volt. Money well spend. I liked that it came with a blade as well.*
This is why I love the internet, because of people like you. Bought this little saw to do some simple construction and was scratching my head trying to figure the dang thing out, felt like I was going cross eyed trying to make sense of the manual 😵 Thanks for putting this up, it was quick, informative, and accurate.
Instructions on the manual was poor. Thanks this helped. I am right handed and looks like this saw is for left handed people because the blade should never face you when cutting. I bought it from amazon.
Thanks! The instruction manual was not as obvious as I would've liked. This video helped me put the blade in my new circular saw in just a couple minutes.
Thank you so much for this video! I hate instructions for some tools. They make things so complicated. Now I can cut my own wood for my projects instead of going to the big box stores and waiting until I get home to find out it was cut wrong.
Thanks. I thought I understood directions in the manual, but easier to see in video. I just watched another video where the guy did this while battery was in the saw!
Hell, I was cussing up a storm just trying to find a wrench to fit this thing( of course, it's on the saw itself), and it still kept spinning around. Useless manual! Thanks for showing me the light.
OMG Jonathan -- I was about to take back the Black and Decker CS1250 as I just couldn't understand how to add the blade. The instructors didn't mentioned about there being a hidden button! thank you so much! Happy 2022 to you my friend!
You are a life saver! I didn't know what/where the spindle lock was and after 5 minutes of turning without any progress I turned to RU-vid hahahaha! So grateful for your video.
I looked all over the manual for how to replace the saw blade. Thank you for a quick and helpful video. All i was missing was the little plate that comes off. You are awesome.
Very good video. You made it look so easy slipping the blade in from the bottom. I must have been trying to put it in from the top somehow. Took me a while.
Thanks for this just bought their bundle set and i haven’t touched a tool in years felt dumb trying to do it and figured if it takes more than 30 seconds RU-vid it
My hands are not big enough to change it. Maybe my son can do this when he gets home from trucking. (Mine is the corded model). This also explains where a certain little piece of metal came from in the box. The picture in the manual was not so clear as this.
My B&D 18v cordless doesn't have an obvious blade lock button. I've looked all over it with no result. Have you used one of these and know how to install a blade? There is no blade currently on it to lock in place with vice grips.
This saw is supposed to have a 3/8 (9.5mm) arbor, right. I just bought my first blade for a 3/8 arbor and it will not fit over the arbor shaft. It is close but no cigar/ is it ok to grind outa very small bit of the blade so it will slip over? I figure that may lead to blade balance issues? Any ideas? I am having a heck of a time getting the blades past the guard to remove or install them. The video shows it being a 'wiggle', this is more like a full on bending the guard and WRESTLING the blades off and on. Anybody else having that problem? Thanks for the video.
My dad always told me to keep the plastic on the blade an let it come off its self funny to see some one else do the same thing people that didn't learn from youtube
The manual just loved to tell me for 15 pages not to stick the battery in my butt and light a roman candle but wouldnt give me any clear pictures on how to install the only part of the saw that really matters. Thanks black and decker
andyvancephoto it also felt really wonky and sketchy having to wedge the blade in there around the plastic shroud. I’m trying my best not to cut my hand open while the manual made it look like it lines up perfectly vertically and has no problem when in reality it’s quite sketchy.
What arbor is that? Like what's the name of the arbor shape. I'm used to 'diamond arbor' blades... what's the circle-with-the-sides-lopped-off shape called? How do I get one if I don't know the search term nor the word to use when vocally asking in person at a brick-and-mortar hardware store? I could just go look at the circular saw blade section and grab the one that looks right... but when I go... inevitably they will have them but they will be out of stock on the floor, as they are all in stock in the back room... forcing me to ask the associate for the ones I'm looking for... that's just my luck. P.S. My language skills have nothing to do with my ability to be safe with dangerous tools. _(I'm preemptively cutting off that almost obligatory comment about how someone's worried about me, because I'm too dumb to operate a circular saw... obviously I know enough to try to cut that off so maybe I'm not as dumb as my question may make me seem.)_
Still have difficulty installing the blade - I followed this video, but I can't seem to "wiggle" the blade into place because the nut that goes in the middle of the blade is too "tall" to where it makes it impossible to slide the blade into the plastic guard. Unless I bend the plastic guard, I am not seeing how yours was so easy. Oh yeah, the manual SUCKS!
