Proberly would have been easier to just replace the fitted ply using the old ones as templates so you can cut them correctly

Absolutely get new ply wood refitted. I love your car repair videos and not this DIY misplacement. Please please its not looking good. We want to learn and i appreciate your efforts truly but not this way. My vw repair skills was inspired and learnt from you. So im a big fan.

@@obere7999 Once again I 100% agree to re-ply the load area is the correct way. But as mentioned earlier there was no budget or time allowed to do it in the correct way. You are 100% right though.

Alright mate I got a vw golf mk4 pd150 on starting the car only when left over night or for longer then a couple of hours, it fires up but splutters for 5-10seconds smokes a little then runs fine no lack of power no smoke. I've serviced it fuel filter glow plugs the lot and still doing it any ideas ?

Check fuel pressure from the lifter and tandem pump, always start with the basics.

ok man but comon just a little to sand that... and repair the broken part (with the part your remove it... it dont need so much time and youl have an better clean result dont look like an gipsy truck.. even with your paint.. :/ any way thank you for the video

If I had the time and was given the budget, I would have DIY'd all of the ply because it was in a bit of a mess. But this was a 24hr in and out thing. The brief was to improve the appearance without spending. However, I totally agree with what you are saying.
