I have a 1980s Casablanca 625T fan. When I took the cap off, the "light" label was already off. I have two white wires twisted together and two blue free wires. Do I connect both of the fan white wires to the light white wire (making three wires connected) and same with the two blue fan wires with the black wire of the light?
Some manufacturers ran two light wires, one that is separate from the black and one that is connected to the black (I have no clue why they did this). My best guess is that this is the case. I would say connect the white wire to the whites on the fan. Connect the black of the light to only one of the blue coming off the fan. If the light is on a separate switch, test it and see if it controls the light. If it doesn’t then switch to the other blue. If the whole fixture is on one switch then ideally either wire should work.
