How to install, a Hampton Bay 11" square flush mount LED light fixture. I'll show you how to remove the old fixture and install this new effecient LED ceiling light fixture.
Tools needed:
flat head screwdriver
Phillips head screwdriver
multimeter or some method to test for current in the wiring.
This LED flush mount has a great contemporary design with beautifully constructed clean lines. Finished in brushed nickel, it will be a great additional to any room. It has a frosted glass shade to provide clean illumination and easy installation. This 11 in. unique flush mount is the choice of discriminating yet value conscious homeowners who want to enrich their home.
1002 Lumens (equivalent to 120watts)
Light color temperature is 2700K (warm white)
Compatible with most LED wall dimmers
80 CRI, and uses only 16.24-Watts

What do you do when the light stops working? Do you have to buy a whole new fixture? We just moved into a home with one of these lights installed by the previous owners, 4 months in and the light no longer works.

Zahra Husein unfortunately yes. These are not replaceable type. If it never worked I'd check it has power to it. if so then change it. They should last MANY years. Mine still bright as the day installed and should be so for many more to come. If yours is out buy new fixture or since its off replace with something you prefer. LED are changing all the time. more and more choices. This is the future.

Only thing missing was how far to screw the bolt in... took 1 adjustment so it screwed on flush.. no big deal.. appreciate the video.

I just had some work done in a laundry room and had the round version of this light installed. I just went to turn the light on and it flashes like a strobe light. Workers already gone. Any idea why it would be flashing like a 70's disco?

Sounds like a party room ;) sorry got a laugh. Without knowing how they wired it my first though is just that check the wiring. If it's wired correctly then there is always the possibility of a faulty fixture. Not unheard of

It was a faulty fixture. I called Home Depot and they actually sent someone out to take a look and install a new one. Thank you for the response.

Your voltage is probably too high. you will need a transformer

You as an electrician must have replaced a few led down light invertor ballasts in your time ?

It remains to be seen if LED fixtures last longer than compact fluorescent. I trust brands like Philips and G.E., since they have the resources to extensively test their products before committing to production. No so sure about various Chinese brands, though. I've seen Chinese compact fluorescent bulbs fail in less time than the incandescent bulbs they replaced. "Hampton Bay" is a Home Depot house brand, made for them by undisclosed Chinese factories.

Hey, I'm planning on taking down a ceiling fan to install a round LED light. Will a ceiling fan have different wiring? If I have more than 1 back, and 1 white wire, how do I know which ones to use for my new LED fixture? Thanks man!

Zii first off is the ceiling fixture operated by a single switch or 2( one for the light and one for the fan).Single switch there should only be basic wires and your good to go, if 2 then you will have to test for the one you want, disconnect the other. you'll only need one now.

teresa0923 no they are everywhere now so great and soo cheap to run I will replace all my light in my shop to LED soon 12volt 110 it’s all good now

Thank you for showing this particular lighting fixture. I ordered a different one for replacement from HD, but it has three odd fluorescent bulbs and some unusual mounting instructions. I ordered this one after watching your video and will return the old one. So happy I found this video.

Mr Lim i think so. Its a whiter light i see no differences in brightness but the florescent in my shop, even though they are daylight white lights, the LED seems brighter and whiter plus a WHOLE lot less to run. As soon as you turn on a florescent light it starts to dim loosing it intensity over time. not so with LED they will just eventually burn out. Also there is no mercury in LED so much safer and environmentally better. I love the incandescent bulb never was a fan of florescent but love the LED and little by little changing all my lights to LED

So true Quadro. Its simple easy and I love LED. Never really liked the florescent bulbs. Also the LED's incorporate the ability for dimming if you have a dimmer switch. These are great. Thank you for viewing

These LED fixtures are trash there are Fluorescent fixtures that have lasted for 20+ years. I love LED bulbs but I hate LED fixtures they flicker, get dim etc. Fluorescents are pretty much my favorite.

I have 2 blacks and a red and a white wire coming out of the ceiling. The LED light has Green Black and white How do i hook those together.

The Red tells me that there is another source on that line. I had a switch that worked an outlet that had a red wire. Another question is does the fixture run off 1 switch or do You have 2 switches to work 1 fixture. Meaning turn on with 1 and walk to another switch and turn off.2 things if your running off a single switch I'd pull that switch and see Where that red wire is connected test the switch to see if it's hot or only hot when the switch is flipped on ,Without knowing how the old fixture came off I'd suggest getting a muiti meter and testing th wires to see how the relate to the switch label them and connect to the new fixture.

My one is from eglo and is making noises when I put on the normal white light... Do you know why is that happening? The other colours are fine

Zara have no idea. LED lights shouldn’t make any noise. It sounds like a ballast going out if it were a fluorescent shop light. Sorry if I were you i’d Take it back.

Just bought a similar light but for some reason when i turn the power back on the light immediately turns on and the light switch does not turn it on or off

+Jason Romero if you only have the one switch how many wires do you have coming out of the ceiling if you had more than three black white copper for ground that could be the reason

+The Shack Well I have 2 black wires twisted together with 1 end and 2 copper wires twisted together with 1 end and 3 white wires twisted together with 2 seperate ends also a random red wire....

+Jason Romero wow that's a lot for that light switch you deathly have something else tethered off of the wires up there did you take pictures or note exactly where the other wire for the lights fixture came off of you may need a multimeter and check the wires to make sure which one is working with the switch if you have two white wires that are separated one of them works but that does not make any sense there should be a single lead for the light fixture sometimes they wire multiple wires together for the power to lead off to another either outlet or even another fixture but you still should have single leads coming off for the light fixture you're replacing without being there my best recommendation is to test the wires with a multimeter having someone switch the lights switch off and on make sure you get correct wire.

your light from the ceiling or the one you are installing? If from the ceiling make sure there isn't paint on them making them seem both white. Older homes didn't run ground, you could only have 2 wires form there.
