Hi Tom kat there’s a regulation regarding the vent pipe going into the cold water storage cistern regarding legionella it must go into a tundish and not into the cold water cistern.
Did a bpec legionella risk assessment course and it was mention. if the vent pipe pumps over into the cold water storage tank the temperature can go over 20 degrees, if you run the vent pipe into dundish increase 22mm to 28mm and run it out side as in your unvented regs it will stop this appending .
