My husband and I bought a fountain and wanted to save some money by installing it ourselves. We needed a little extra muscle to install the bottom bowl, but other than that, we did everything ourselves.
It was trial and error along the way, but we are so please with the outcome and saved a few hundred dollars by doing it ourselves.
The pump quit working 6 months later, but the fountain place gladly gave us a new one. Make sure to keep your receipt, as it sure made things easier.
We bought ours at a store in Reseda, Ca at Reseda Pottery. They were amazing and had a sale at the time we bought it. It was $400 with the pump. They have a huge selection of fountains and pottery. Check them out if you are in the area.
