Aaron, Please accept these suggestions. Consider using 33+ electrical tape, bit expensive but it won't unroll on you and it'll' stretch better. Also wrap the wire nut with tape. They can loosen a bit while you're placing the fixture back into the box. Since you're "switching" the hot leg on a light both wires should be black. If not the white wire should be wrapped with a piece of tape or marked with a sharpie. It appears as though the white wire was already marked with a black sharpie stripe. You might also buy (unless you have one) a pair of diagonal cutting pliers, that way you won't have to reach in too far with your linemen's pliers. Good stuff.
Hi David. I always appreciate feedback, as life is all about learning new things. I have never tried the 33+, but I’ll definitely give it a shot. I’m impressed that you could tell that it wasn’t 33+. I honestly never thought of wrapping the wire nut with tape, so thanks for that as well. As far as the switch leg. If you look closely, it’s actually black but it has white marking on it. And I agree with the diagonal pliers. So funny you said that because I have some but couldn’t find them while shooting the video. I finally gave up and used the linemans. I knew someone would notice that 😂😂
@@aaronfixesstuff Ha, I also noticed your wife when she sneezed at the end of your review on the Kreg Track saw attachment. Very funny caption explaining why you went out of frame. That's how I found your channel. I'm thinking of buying one and you have the exact saw I am thinking of buying. That was good info.
