@@BuildsWithV clear as mud! lol Some of the terminology throws me. Addressable vs. non-addressable? What does that mean? Also, the abrev. letters on the motherboard...WTH?
@@Drrezzin I think what he meant by Addressable and non-Addressable RBG was ARBG & RBG. RGB is changing the colour of the lights but on the whole fan while ARGB is the same + you can also change each individual led light inside the fan, e.g. If the fan has 10 led lights inside it, you can change them all to different colours thus giving you dynamic illuminated effect. I know you asked this question a month ago but hey, there you go. About the letters on the MB i don't know but you can probably check it out on google.
You know, I am German... but there are less german videos than english ones... AND THEN I FOUND THIS! an english vid, where the point I am looking for is explained detailed and crystal clear, and the language is spoken in a good speed, so everyone, even if coming from abroad, can easily understand the explenantion. Thank u very much :)
Bro I'm ordering all my parts and I'm learning day by day how to build a pc. Scrolling forums and youtube videos till 5 AM. Your videos have been legendary!!!! In depth descriptions of steps, and you talk at the perfect speed!!!
Thank you! Just finished installing 7 fans, and realized that I needed something to plug all of them in. Didn't know what an rgb fan hub was till I watched your video lol.
Seriously, This was literally the most helpful video I saw on youtube explaining how rgb hubs and fan hubs work! You have my thanks, Now I'm more confident about my first build
Bro i can’t tell how much I love you . With your video I was able to finally after 2 months connect all my fans and it’s working perfectly . Thank you !! 💚
A lot of other you tubers show the bigger aspects of pc building like the gpu and cpu but forget to show the more mundane stuff like fans so it’s great to find someone explaining it in a simple way that makes sense
Yea they make it seem so easy and once we get to connecting rgbs it’s like wtf haha I’m literally stuck at this part 1st build and I was confused like how the hell do I installed these 2 fans in lol
This is the best well informed video I have seen on this subject, and I've watched a few in preparation for taking the plunge and building my own PC rather than buying a pre-built (when you can actually find any parts in stock again).
This had to be the most useful tutorial I've seen yet. I ended up getting the all-in-one HUB you linked, and it's been a big help. The only issue I came across was that my Gigabyte B450M DS3H motherboard has a single 12V RGB header on it. I opted to use Deepcool's RGB convertor. It came with a wire that I could connect from my motherboard to the convertor itself, THEN to the hub. I originally had a daisy chain with 4 male 5V headers that I almost considered plugging into one header on the hub, but even with limited experience, I felt like that would be _very_ bad. Either way, I just plugged all of my RGB fans in onto the hub itself and it actually... worked. As a beginner this was pretty baffling but worth it. Thanks _a lot._ Seriously.
I'm actually in the same situation lol was going to order 6 fans that are 5v but only have the 12v header! How's this been working for ya? Would you recommend grabbing the all-in-one and the convertor? Been on the fence just thinking about buying and trying while I was researching haha.
This is my first time doing a PC build with an RGB case. My LIAN LI case came with a hub but the instructions are pictorial and sketchy. Even on the LIAN LI RU-vid page, they don't show how to set one up. Thank you so much for this tutorial. It saved me a lot of head-scratching.
Excellent vid my dude. answered all the questions I has about aRGB and I love the way you broke it into thee parts... huge plus for no awful music or cringe worthy intro
Excellent, no-nonsense and succinct video. 👍 I quite like solid colours in the case (which I have) and the option to pick via RGB/aRGB, but I have to say that some rigs I've seen are so OTT they look like they've been used as a holding pen for miniature unicorns with severe gastroenteritis! 🌈🦄🤮
Dude.... thank you! This is the kind of tutorial i've been searching for, the other videos on youtube is confusing because they tend to talking in circle and explaining too much technicality BS... 🤷🏻♂️😂 From 1:50 to 4:25 is the only stuff i really needed for... once again Gracias! 🍻
Thanks. This is a very useful video. I'm building a new gaming rig. I haven't built one for 15 years. Things have changed a bit since then. I was confused with all the RGB wiring and hubs etc. Good job, man.
@@BuildsWithV coming from console I didn’t understand that the hub doesn’t take power from a header and that’s what made it so confusing! I’m having to re build my pre build pc as it came with a trash case cooler etc lol but Thankyou✌🏽
Tysm you are like the best pc building youtuber your explanations are straight forward but still very precise and detailed and what i especially love about it is that you include absolutely everything you use in your description.
You video was one of the easiest to follow and learn about the way the fan rgb and power works. Thank you so much for this video. I really appreciate it.
I’m gonna build my very first pc soon and for some reason info on Argb/rgb is so hard to find for a beginner. This vid helped me with fan hubs and all of the above, thank you so much for the video! It really helped out a lot 👌
This video was a blessing to find. Planning a build with 10+ case fans and I was dying to figure out if the 3pin fans I had would be alright on the 4pin fan hubs. Big thanks.
Yeah man this was great. Ive been trying to learn about how case fans work and what the hell a fan hub even is but every other video I watched about it just glazed over it as if it wasn’t worth taking about all that much. This was very clear and answered basically all my questions 👍🏻
I know it's an older video but that duel tone is nice. I had to order another hub because I have a 10 header setup and I think I'll do something similar thanks
You're a life saver. Thanks so much; I've been looking everywhere for a video that can tell me where exactly I should plug everything in. My case needs 5 fans and my motherboard only has a few fan headers on it.
thank you brother really appreciated finally someone thought about the new people getting into pc and these things are difficult then they might sound and i think you are the only one explaining this in detail i was scratching my head since almost 3 days with lian li ST120 fans hope this solve my problem
Thank you for this video. I'm about to install my first set of RGB fans with a hub and have been feeling anxious about it. After seeing this video I understand the process a whole lot better.😁
Also just about to go down that multi-colour setup, having the 2 ARGB headers will make this workable. Many thanks for explaining BOTH standard and RGB setups.
Im sorry for the noob question, I just want to make sure.. so in your setup you need 3 hub? 1 fan hub for all those fans 4 pin connector, and 2 rgb hub for those fans 3 pin rgb connector (to separate the color setup)? thanks..
Thanks a lot, me and my friends are first time builders, and we couldn't find out where to put that fan hub cable...the bad thing tho is that I have to get the psu with all the cables out of the case 💀🙏 pray for me
This video is coming up on a year old but it's still relevant and useful. I'm building my first RGB. I had no idea how it all works, only that somehow the five fans (three RGB) and hub that came with my Antec _Dark Phantom_ case connect to the ASRock Mobo to work their magic. I still don't know how to control the Mobo's and RAM's RGB, but now with a basic understanding (thanks to you!) I believe I can take it from here. How hard can it be? I started out building PCs running DOS.
Just connecting the fans to the Hub works the Rgb and the fans or do I need another controller to power the fans? I didn't seem to see that part in the video. Appreciate if someone explain me
I’m wondering the same, i got power on my computer but the front fans weren’t spinning but on lol so happy that o connected everything else right 1st build
Good work mate ! I’m about start building Corsair 5000D airflow. Hope you’ve got videos how to build from start, to the end, with that case. Thanks for sharing!
This was useful for me since I have the exact same fans and hubs, though I only have one ARGB header on my mobo, so all my devices will be doing the same thing......even though Asus claims their software can differentiate. Gonna call their bluff on Saturday.
I bought a fan hub (for 4 fans), i only needed to put one more fan on my computer so i knew that putting 2 fans on the same hub directly connected on motherboard (without SATA) would loose some performances but when I start BF V those 2 fans just stop, and when i start rocket league they are much slower So i'll try your fan hub and I hope i'm gonna make things right (i spent 2k € for this pc xD)
