In this video I show you how to install a HealingShield screen protector on my Humminbird Fish Finder. If you ever wondered how people end up with fish finder screen protectors that look so professional, join me as I install a new screen protector on my fish finder unit. These tips for installing a screen protector can be used for Humminbird, Lowrance, Garmin, Simrad, Raymarine, etc.

You’ve got this! Interestingly, I went out with a guide after that and he asked me if he could please remove it because it did have a glare. I should have gotten one with a very clear look. Oops. 😀. Good luck on yours!

Great video. I installed an anti glare protective screen on my Helix 12 and had a lot of trouble with dust and then keeping my fingers off the side that sticks to the Helix screen. I used the Graph Glass anti glare. The cloth to clear off the screen also left stuff on the screen that made it even worse. I contacted Graph Glass about that. I like how this Healing Shield worked for you. I did try one other screen protector a while back but didn't like it and too much glare off of it. It is a real trick to get the starting edge lined up. That is where I had a lot of trouble getting started. Plus as you said the screen protector wants to stick as soon as it touches the screen. Also I tried to get the fish finder to not move around because of the shape of the back it wants to roll over to each side.

I purchased one of the anti-glare ones but mine has a matte finish and is very blurry looking when it is installed, it looks like you purchased the clear film can you post a picture of what it looks like with your unit on?

It actually had a glare on it. I went out on a guided trip and the guide really didn’t like it at all and asked if we could remove it. I let him. I am trying to remember if it is still on my “10 unit. If it is, I’ll get you a photo!
