Thanks for this. My flap and plastic,foam smells like gas because fuel filter leaked. How can I get rid of gas smell or replace the covers? This is the component that sits between the gas tank and seat.

What if that little retainer did you remove brakes? do you have any idea where to purchase another one, because mine broke.

Where is the fuel sending unit located on the W221 S550? I opened both the driver (fuel filter) and passenger side (fuel pump) and I can’t find it
